I walked inside the house and slam the door slightly. "What was that about?" Kaye pointed to the car that was leaving the drive way.
"Daniel making a big deal out of things." I said.
"Whoa, it's like you're already married, arguing about nothing." Kaye chirped. I looked at her.
"We're never getting married." I said. She looked at me and started laughing.
"Riiight." She said. "You two are perfect together, and you two still don't realize it. You love each other." Kaye said sweetly. I started choking on the water I was drinking.
"Kaye. We haven't even gotten to that yet. It's been 4 weeks." I said. She shrugged. "Whatever. I'm going to bed." I said.

I heard the phone ring. I groaned and picked up my phone, my eyes still closed. "Hello...?" I groaned into the phone.
"You have to come to--"
"No," I said.
"Kathryn. Stop saying no when you know nothing yet." Daniel said.
"You told me I HAVE to go, you can politely ask me." I said. He sighed.
"Kath, do you want to come with me, Mary, Gaby, RJ, and JC to the..." He hesitated, "hockey game tonight?" Daniel asked. My breath got caught in my throat. I swallowed hard.
"Hockey game?" I asked. He was quiet for a few moments.
"It's just a hockey game...Kathryn it will be okay." Daniel assured me. I gulped back fear. I haven't gone to a hockey game since I was 14...before...IT happened. "Kath...?" Daniel said, I realized he was still awaiting my confirmation.
"Uh...I--I--um...sure." I squeezed my eyes shut tightly. I couldn't believe I was doing this. It's alright Kath. It's gonna be okay. It's a hockey game. It will be okay.
"Great! I'll pick you up tonight at 7." Daniel informed me and then hung up. I listened to the dial tone for a few minutes before hanging up. I took a deep breath.
"It's just a hockey game." I breathed.
