"Sorry." I said. He looked at me. "I was just joking." I said.
"Kath, it's okay, you've apologized several times." He said. "Plus, Grandma just didn't know that's how we joke." He said.
"I feel so stupid now," I said, laying my head on my arms. He walked over to me.
"Don't. it doesn't matter. She makes a big deal out of things." He said. I looked at him. "Don't worry about it." He said. I sighed and nodded. "I'm sorry, she said that to you, cause none of it's true." He said.
**Next day**
I walked out to see Betty, dressed nicely. "We're going to church. Grandma's orders." Daniel said, she playfully slapped him.
"Church?" I asked. He nodded. I walked back into the room and got into some nice clothes. Betty glared at me again, I glared back, her jaw dropped. Yep, that's right, Kathryn can go hardcore.
"Ready to go?" Larry asked everybody. Daniel linked arms with me, I almost jumped, feeling an electric shock hit me when Daniel touched my arm. That was...different. It made me feel kind of giddy.
"Are you ok?" He asked, laughing slightly. I nodded.
"Never better." I replied.

We got to church and Betty kept glaring at me every five seconds, I rolled my eyes. We listened to the preacher. I kept getting distracted by Betty, she continued to glare and she wouldn't stop. rolled my eyes once again, I could feel her gaze on me.
Soon church was over as well, Betty STILL glared at me every few seconds. "Daniel!" some lady called, he looked over dumbfounded. The lady walked over. "Haven't seen you since you were 15" She said.
"Oh, Marilyn hi!" He exclaimed. Soon he got wrapped up in a conversation with her.
"Come with me, please." Betty said. Oh boy, I better not get burned alive or something. "You are not good enough for him." She said. "You are not at all like the angels he's had in the past. It's a shame he's dating you. You're too short, you don't have a father, must've been a single mother, it's a shame a mistake came into her life, she probably had so much going for her."
I was taken aback. "Excuse me?" I asked, frowning at her. I couldn't believe she just said that, yes, I was an "oopsie" but she didn't need to rub it in.
"You heard me, you are not at all skinny like the rest, you aren't as successful as the rest." She said. I felt like someone slapped me in the face. I felt an explosion go off, but I kept my mouth shut. Daniel soon came up and Betty smiled.
"Ready to go?" Daniel asked, Betty nodded, she forced a smile at me and made a real smile to Daniel. Oh, the nerve she has! I just...I want to get a chain saw and saw off that witty, lying, fat, egotistic, bitchy, stupid, gay ass head of hers! She makes so....UGH!!
Larry joined up with us and took Betty's arm as we walked to Daniel's car and went back home, everyone was wrapped up in a conversation while I plotted Betty's death.
