My smile slowly faded as those words left her lips, I cleared my throat and turned away from her and attempted to do something.
"I've got Cheese, Hawaiian and Pepperoni." Daniel said, suddenly coming in the room. He looked at me then to Betty. "What?" he asked. Betty shook her head.
"I was just telling Kathryn, it's a pleasure to meet her." She said. He looked at me.
"Yeah. I was just about to tell her the same." I lied. He smiled and nodded. Everybody grabbed a piece of pizza and dug in. I tried to ignore Betty as she glared at me. All I know is...she is a real bitch, considering she hates me, KATHRYN BERNARDO. Who could hate me? Apparently her.
"So, Kathryn, Where do you work at?" Betty asked. Speak of the Devil.
"Um, I work at an Editorial Office." I said.
"So, you read lots?" she asked, wiping her mouth with a napkin. I nodded.
"Yes. Yes, I do and I hate it." I said. Larry chuckled. Betty didn't say anything, but gave me a snooty look. I think she's a little...protective over her Grandbaby. Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. I started chuckling.
"What?" Daniel asked. I shook my head.
"Oh, Nothing. Just memories." I lied, trying to hold in laughter. Daniel looked at me weirdly and shook his head. Daniel is a Grandma's Boy. Soon we all finished eating and we talking.
"So, what made you move in?" Betty asked.
"Well...DJ REALLY wanted me too." Daniel glared at me as I smirked. She nodded, but hatred was still there.
"Ah, you must really think she's the one," Larry nudged Daniel. His eyes widened.
"Grandpa!" He said through clenched teeth, Larry rose his hands up in defense.
"You asked her to move in!" He said. Daniel shook his head, I tried not to laugh and the thought of Daniel and I getting married. You'd have to be stood to even THINK Daniel and I could be together. I looked at DJ, who was blushing. I laughed.
"Your cheeks are red!" I said, laughing. He got redder. "Oh my god, don't explode!" I joked, laughing, Larry joined in with my laughter. Betty frowned and glared at me.
"You don't need to be so rude! You should be ashamed! Embarrassing Daniel!" She yelled at me, standing up. I stopped laughing and looked at her. Oops. Pissed Off Granny at 3 o'clock.
Daniel looked at his Grandma then to me, then back to his Grandma, "Grandma chill. She was kidding," Daniel defended, his cheeks returning back to their original colour. Betty glared at me, making sure Daniel saw her glare at me.
"I don't see why you waste your time on her, She's worthless!" She spat and walked out of the room and into the guest room. The room fell silent, Larry stood up and apologized to me and then walked off to Betty.
Gaby and JC awkwardly stood up. "We're just...leaving..." JC said and they left. Daniel looked over to me.
"Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded. "Are you sure?" He asked. "I know how she can be..." He said. I nodded my head again, but I wasn't okay, is that how everyone sees me, worthless? A waste of time?
