"Well, You two just make yourself comfortable, Kath and I will prepare some food for you." Daniel said, he took me away into his kitchen. Thank God he lives in a 5 star Apartment.
"Are you crazy?!" I whispered, Daniel started cutting up some fresh vegetables that he had found in his fridge.
"I panicked!" He said, running his fingers through his hair, he expects that I live with every girlfriend that he meets." Daniel explained.
"Daniel! I'm in so much trouble! What's my mom gonna say when I don't come home!?" I whisper-yelled.
"Text her!" He said.
"I can't! She'll call and yell at me and think we're doing...ya know..." I said. He rolled his eyes.
"Let ME talk to her." He said. I widened my eyes.
"No! Don't--" He already dialled my mom's number. "No...Daniel...stop!" I whispered. "Hi, Mrs. Bernardo, how are you today?" He listened to her response. "Oh, me too. I would like to apologize for earlier today..." He said. "Mhm. I know." He continued, I chuckled at his politeness. "Yes and I was wondering if Kathryn could move in with me...?" He asked nervously.
'MOVE IN?!?!' I mouthed. I shook my head. "Daniel, give me the phone!" I whispered. "Just say sleepover." I whispered. Daniel pushed me to the side but I kept at him.
"Purity ring, Mrs. Bernardo. I could never disobey my parents like that. I would feel sick to my stomach." He responded. "Yes. I understand." He waited. "Yes. Yes. Oh, Definitely. Well, a promise is a promise." He said. "Thanks, Mrs. Bernardo." He said.
'She said yes?!??!' I mouthed to him as he smirked at me. I couldn't believe this.
"Don't worry, Mrs. B." He waited. "Alright. Don't worry about a thing....Min." He said. I rolled my eyes. He's getting awfully close with her. He hung up the phone. "Done." he said.
"I don't want to move in with you, I only need to SLEEP OVER." I emphasised. He rolled his eyes.
"Now, Baby," He smirked. I groaned.
"Don't." I said. He taunted me with the same smirk. He wrapped his arms around my waist. I pushed my arms against his chest. "Stop it." I said. I hit him.
"Ow." he said. "Just practicing." He said. I rolled my eyes. He gave me a tray full of veggies. He then grabbed one himself we walked into the living room. Immediately Betty glared at me then innocently and sweetly smiled at Daniel. I set a tray down on the table.
"So, Daniel where will we be sleeping tonight?" Betty asked.
"Oh, Well, I have a guest room you and Grandpa can share and then Kath and I will share a room." Daniel said. Oh, Great.
"Daniel, let's see a kiss!" Daniel's Grandpa suggested. Daniel and I looked at each other. "Right, Plump, on the lips!" He exclaimed. I gulped, I looked at Daniel, who gulped as well.
"Larry! Don't embarrass them!" She said. "but let's see it..." Betty added.
"Err..." Daniel let out. "Uh..." He grabbed my waist and pecked my lips. "There." He said. We faked a smile at everyone.
"That wasn't a kiss!" Gaby said.
"Yeah! Kiss her like you mean it!" JC said as Larry; Joe's Grandpa, agreed. Daniel and I looked at each other. Here goes nothing. Suddenly, the door bell rang. Phew. Saved.
"Oh, Pizza is here." Daniel said as he ran towards the door. Betty glared at me deeply, hatred seeping through her eyes. I flashed a small smile, trying to cease the tension.
Larry soon wasn't paying attention, Betty whispered, "You disgust me."
