"Are you okay?" Daniel asked as we walked into his apartment. I nodded. My eyes were sore from the crying.

"Mhm. Why?" I asked.

"You're quiet. Are you sure you're okay now?" He asked again, putting his arms around my waist and staring down at me.

"I'm just tired." I said. He looked at me, contemplating whether to believe me or not. I wrapped my arms around his torso, embracing him in a warm hug. "I'm glad I have you." I said. He chuckled, kissing the top of my head.

"I'm glad I have you too." He replied. I smiled into his chest, I looked up at him. "I'm also glad we agreed to take this chance." He said.

"Me too." I grinned. My smile slowly faded.

"What?" He asked, concern building in his eyes.

"What do you think would've happened if she didn't make it?" I asked, feeling the familiar tears reappear. He shook his head.

"I don't know, but I do know that you'd be okay...eventually. You'd just have to take it one day at a time. I'd be here for you, so would everybody else." He let a breath. "But, We just can't afford to think like that."

"I guess you're right." I said. Suddenly the phone rang, I saw the phone was still on the floor from before, the battery cover was on the floor, but the battery was still in place. "Sorry." I said, blushing slightly.

"No. it's alright." He said, he picked up the phone and placed on the cover and answered the phone. "'Sup?" He said. His smile fell, he looked like an innocent little boy now, "Sorry, Mom, I will start answering the phone with respect..." He said, looking down. "Uh. Yeah." He paused, listening to Karla. "Oh, Yeah, we made up." He paused again. "Um...yesterday...?" He said.

"You already forgot?!" I whisper-yelled at him, he shrugged as I sat down on the stool by the counter.

"Yes. Mom. Okay, Mom." He paused, looking at me almost nervously before quietly saying to his mom, "I love you too, mommy, bye." He quickly hung up. He quickly plugged his ears.

"AWWWW!" I exclaimed, loudly. He unplugged his ears and glared at me. "You still say mommy!" I gushed.

"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, laugh it up." He said, annoyed.

"That's so cute!! You even said I love you! Now, that is just darn right cute!" I said, pinching his cheeks to get on his nerves. He glared at me and sat on the couch.
