Hanamura

Hanzo Shimada had just lost a fight to his brother. His cybernetic sibling that should have been dead in his hands. It was an order from his family's Shimada clan. He failed his clan and he failed his family. The act of supposedly killing his brother had also torn him inside. Now that he was alive, Hanzo was left with a dilemma. The orders were to eliminate Genji but Hanzo was no longer member of the clan. Genji was and still is his brother but Genji had also betrayed their family. Genji had forgiven him but Hanzo has not.

Hanzo walked down the Hanamura streets. This was once his playground with Genji. But like the young brothers, the city had changed. The Rikimaru Ramen shop was still there though. Overlooking the Shimada's mansion, it was among the siblings common hangout spot. Eve bac in their youthful days, Hanzo pride himself as a Shimada and the heir of the clan but Genji did not. Shimada Clan's illegal trades and criminal assassinations drove Genji away from his born duties and as a result, Hanzo the heir was tasked to kill him.

"Something troubles your mind?" someone spoke, awaken Hanzo from his trance. It was an omnic and a member of the Shambali – a monk-like omnics that based in Nepal. "Perhaps I could lent you an ear, though I do not possesses one."

"My troubles are none of your business," Hanzo snapped. Personally, he has nothing against omnics but he also has no regards for them as well.

"Very well," the omnic replied calmly. "You remind me of one of my pupils. He was not receptive of receiving a hand from a machine like me. But you can say perseverance won that battle for me. He has now accepted who he is and moved on from his troubling past. A close mind is already defeated. Find me once yours is open."

The omnic levitated away but something the omnic said strike Hanzo. The omnic seems to be referring to his brother Genji who he had just met not too long ago and here floating away was an omnic from the Nepalese sanctuary. Two beings that should not be here. Was it a coincidence?

Hanzo stalked the omnic who began making his way out of the city and into the open lands outside of Hanamura. Hanzo was trained with the Shimada's assassination skills. He excelled in stealth and Wall Climb, trekking into position undetected. A non-combative robot monk would be too naïve of his surroundings to notice the tailing Hanzo.

The omnic arrived at a plains valley, joining two other beings. A tan skinned Middle-Eastern woman in blue armor that resembled a metallic bird and a man that would have easily been mistaken for an omnic. But Hanzo knew better. That man was a cyborg. After having his body destroyed, that man was converted into a living weapon. Sleek white and slender, Hanzo had battled Genji few hours ago. Hanzo was not sure was it experience or the new body but that once-lazy younger brother of his was stronger than Hanzo could remember.

Hanzo crept behind a tree, distanced away from the trio. He could not hear what they were saying but he neither cared nor bothered. He once had a mission and he failed. Now was redemption.

Hanzo loaded his Storm Bow and aimed it straight for Genji's head. Memories of the brothers flooded his mind. When they were little. When they became older. When they fought. When he killed Genji and when Hanzo had given up his entire life to distraught of murdering his own brother. Few hours ago, Genji revealed himself to him. Hanzo should be happy to see him. But Hanzo was not content. Something was still lodged in his heart.

Was it his honor condemning his inability to fulfill his duty or the guilt for murdering someone so close him?

A click and a beep and a boop sounded behind him. He turned around and saw another omnic sitting on a large rock. Hanzo had heard the terrifying stories of this omnic but wasn't all Bastion units supposedly destroyed?
