Temple of Anubis

"What in the God's name am I still doing here?" Torbjorn grumbled while being chained to a chair in the dust colored room at the back of the Temple.

Satya Vaswani rolled her eyes and refused to answer. Such barbaric men do not deserve recognition. She was however mildly impressed by his turrets and armors design and could not kept her hands off from examining it. Undeniably, it was medieval and ugly. A tweak here and there and Symmetra could polish it to become a perfect mechanism for chaos control.

"Yes, Symmetra," the young-Aidan complaint. "Tell me again why is this shorty still alive?"

Satya who went by her codename – Symmetra, rolled her eyes again at the thought of being the babysitter for juvenile Aidan. "This dwarf is alive as a collateral in the event the Overwatch found you. You do realize we are at war with them in this instant?"

"Yes I'm aware! So why am I even here? Aren't you suppose to protect me and not put me in a den full of Overwatchers?" Aidan bellowed in fury.

"That is because there is nowhere else to put you." Symmetra pursed her lips. "Everyone is busy fighting to keep you alive and unfortunately for me could not take you along. Instead, I'm stuck with you so I could teleport you to Gibraltar as soon as I received the signal."

"And besides," Symmetra said as she looked out the window. "The war is almost finish. There's only three Overwatch left in the building. Order shall finally settle once they are eliminated"

Those words stung her tongue as she spoke them. Overwatch was a beacon of hope back in the days. They brought peace and harmony to the world during the the last Omnic Crisis. They were heroes that liberated her hometown, Hyderabad. It was not the most pleasant place to grow up after the war but it gave her the opportunity to work with Vishkar. The corporation whose ideals mesmerized her. Harmony. Control. A world without chaos and conflict. Vishkar would build utopias. They were heroes – like Overwatch. But now, there were fighting each other. Why would heroes fight against one another? Do they not understand that Vishkar and Liche were trying to stop another Omnic Crisis from emerging? Overwatch were the ones who stop them. Why help the omnics now?

"When I go back in time I am sure hell will not hire you," Aidan babbled. "You are rude and weird and awkward. You cannot even hold a decent conversation without being a big bi –"

Symmetra have had it and knocked Aidan unconscious with her Photon Projector gun. She never liked him anyways. She only tolerated him because it was the direct orders from Vishkar.

Silence loomed across the room. Torbjorn looked at her but did not make a sound. Symmetra preferred it that way. No noise. No distractions. The sound of tranquil and peace. That was why she like being alone. All this social nonsense were nothing more than evolution need to form a pack. She was not like them. Always alone. Happy to live her life this way. Yup. She was happy to be serving the world this way.

Symmetra noticed Torbjorn starring at her. She deeply wished to snap at him but she bit her tongue. She would not bring herself to the level to converse with a man of that stature.

Symmetra eyed her Teleporter at the back of the room and the Sentry Turrets she placed by the entrance. Checking that they were all still running before going back to examining Torbjorn's equipment.

After a relatively short awkward silent, Torbjorn said, "Hehe. There's something on your dress." Symmetra ignored him. "Hey, I said there's something on your pretty little outfit. Can you here me? Oi! I said –"

"No, there isn't," Symmetra snapped without checking her dress. She was itching to though but she refused to let Torbjorn get to her. Her fingers twitched at the thought of an actual speck of dirt on her suit. Unable to resist, her pupils slid to the edge to take a peek. As she suspected, there was nothing.
