Dorado
Khalidah Yaahib was a huge fan of Overwatch back when she was a teenager. As a budding journalist, Khalidah would write the great stories of Overwatch ending the Omnic Crisis, how they triumphed the Shimada Clan or ran Talon into undercover. When Overwatch fell apart, writing good positive statements about Overwatch came with backlash. Her reputation as reporter was criticized for being biased towards the former heroes. Under the pen name Kya, Khalidah swore to revive her heroes through her articles. It was difficult operating alone. Sources do not land on her laps. She had to work hard and eventually it caught the attention of one very important man.
"Helix Security has been warned," Pharah reported to Jack who was landing their aircraft. Kya sat at the passenger seat as they landed on the edge of Dorado. "They will be doubling the security at Temple of Anubis."
"Good." Jack parked the craft. He then turned to Kya. "You sure that Liche operating base is in Dorado's power plant?"
"Yes," Kya confirmed. Her source never lied to her. "After Lumerico's power plant unexpectedly destroyed, Vishkar bought over and began rebuilding Dorado and the power plant. Vishkar may be shut down but someone needs to power the plant if Dorado needs light."
"I am not loving Vishkar and all," Lucio started when he overheard their conversation. "But, I thought their intention was to force harmony and whatnot. Why side with Liche?"
"Who knows?" Kya responded as they prepared to leave the aircraft. "Vishkar's ideology of harmony has always be extreme. Omnics capable of turning against human and running out of order might not be of their best interest."
The Attack Team left the craft and made their way to the power plant through the many alleys. Despite being liberated from Vishkar's control, the people of Dorado still did not feel safe wandering out at night. Local criminal gang, Los Muertos was still very active here.
"Stay here," Kya told them when they arrived near the base of the glowing pyramid power plant. Kya pointed to a group of fierce looking men pacing the streets and on roofs of buildings. Spiky hairs and barely glowing tattoos vandalized their arms. Each of them were carrying a firearm.
"They are Los Muertos. Liche hired them if anyone dared come near the plant."
"If we want to infiltrate, we need to be subtle," Jack whispered so only the group could hear. "McCree, take out those on low ground. Lucio and Kya, follow me."
Lucio and Kya obeyed and three of them went through an alley, up some stairs and parkour over walls. Thank goodness Kya was fit enough to keep up with Lucio's skates and Jack's stamina.
From the top, Kya saw McCree sneaking up to a gang member. McCree tossed a Flashbang at the gangster, stunning him before killing him with McCree's signature move, Fan the Hammer, a rapid fire shots to the face. Meanwhile, Jack ambushed a member on the roof and took him down with headlock. The two men repeated their sneak attacks undetected when all of a sudden, there was a blast from their earpiece communication.
"We've been discovered!" Zarya yelled. Blast and smashes boomed from a near distance
They all looked out from the roof and saw the rest of the Attack teammates were forcing their way into the pyramid. Reinhardt had his shield up against the Los Muertos but the barrier field was cracking.
"Barrier can't hold forever!" Reinhardt roared. His barrier broke.
"Step aside." Kya pushed the men away, lifted her video camera, zoomed in and dial some buttons. All allies in view of her camera was enveloped with an energy armor. All damage dealt on to them was transferred as pure energy for her camera. Reinhardt and the rest successfully entered the building unharmed.
