(y/n)'s POV

I woke up this morning actually excited to start the day! It was the first day of summer vacation and I intended to spend it well. I hopped out of bed and pulled on a oversized blue shirt with a pair of jean shorts. I grabbed my white converse (with dirt stains that I never cleaned) and run downstairs. My mom was cooking breakfast and I yanked a piece of toast off a plate before yelling a quick good bye to her.

"JUST A SECOND YOUNG LADY!" I paused and rolled my eyes slowly.

"Yes mother?" Walking back into the kitchen, I noticed she had her hands on her hips and was staring at me pretty hard.

"Where are you off to in such a rush?"

"I'm going to Millie's. We're hanging out to day. You know, the usual." I shrugged my shoulders and leaned up against one of the walls.

"Be back by 8:00, and drink some of this orange juice before you go." She tapped the table next to a glass cup, which I finished consuming in the next 2 minutes.

"BYE MOM!" And with that I was out the door.

I mounted my bike and pedaled towards Millie's house. I decided to stop and get a couple snacks and a soda at a nearby convience store. Humming along to a song as I entered the store, I turned down the candy aisle and took my sweet time selecting the perfect ones. Sadie had always been picky about what she ate, but today she was just going to have to live with what I got. I grabbed a couple packages and began totaling up my cost. As I walked to the cash register, another body slammed against mine and I fell to the floor.

"Oh god I am so sorry! I was just trying to get out of the aisle." I looked up and saw a red-headed girl bendign down next to me. I recognized her from school, but I wasn't sure of her name.

"No it's fine don't worry. Can't say I haven't done that before." I smiled at her and she laughed in return. She glanced at me with her green-blue eyes and stuck out her hand.

"I'm Beverly. Beverly Marsh."

"(y/n)." I shook her hand and we both helped one another off the floor. We started to walk towards the cash register, continuing a light conversation, when we were presented with a group of boys in yet another aisle. I immediately noticed that they were the Losers Club. The ones I had just saved yesterday. They looked at us, and I grinned while walking towards them.

"Well, well fancy seeing you guys here." You gestured to all the medical supplies in Eddie's hand.

"Who died?" At this I heard Beverly chuckle from behind me, before silencing herself from the weird looks the boys were giving her.

"There's a kid outside, looks like somebody killed him." You furrowed your eyebrows and picked up some of the items the short boy had dropped.

"W-w-we n-n-need some supplies but w-w-we don't have enough money."

"Leave it to me." I turned around and saw Beverly with a determined look on her face. She waltzed up to me.

"When I give you the signal, you all run for it."

"Okay, sounds good. Maybe we'll hangout again later this summer?" I liked this Marsh girl, she was cool and enjoyed her company.

"Of course." She smiled and bumped her shoulder with mine and I giggled along with her.

5 minutes later

Beverly looked over at us and nodded. I shoved the Losers towards the the door and whispered "go, go!" several times. Stanley accidently pushed Eddie back and he hit a rack of postcards. I closed my eyes as a clattering sound echoed throught the store.

"Just go, c'mon out!" I whispered shouted at them and grabbed both Bill's and Stanley's hand while kicking Kaspbrak through the door.

When we finally escaped the store I sighed in relief and let out a short laugh.

"That was exciting and scary at the exact same time!!" Bill simply smiled and Stan returned my laugh. Denbrough rushed over to help Eddie patch up the wounds on a kid I had never seen before, while Richie was doing a british accent (Eddie keep telling him to shut up) for fun. I looked down at my watch only to realize Stanley and I were still holding hands.

"Oh umm, sorry." I blushed and slipped my hand out of his.

"Don't worry, it's fine." He scratched the back of his neck and looked anywhere but me. I took note of the time, 11:45 a.m.

"I'd love to stick around guys, but I've gotta go meet up with someone." I grabbed my bike off of the rack next to the store window and pulled it out to the sidewalk.

"I HOPE YOU GET BETTER!" I shouted out to the boy that I didn't know and he waved in my direction. Stan was next to me and he was smiling like an idiot. I don't know what for, but it was pretty cute .

"Bye." I said softly, returning his goofy smile. I began hopped on my ride and placed my feet on the pedals. I heard a bell ring and looked up to see a firey red-headed girl exiting the drugstore with a triumphant look on her face. I smiled while gliding down the sidewalk at full speed. I put up my hand and flew past her, she caught on and high fived me before I disappeared down the street.

"SEE YA LATER LOSERS CLUB AND-" I waved backwards but cut off my sentence, since I was far away from them. I didn't leave her out though, I simply said it in a normal voice, into the warm summer air.

"Beverly Marsh."
