Y/N's POV
"Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means....." As I walked back towards my house, I continued to hum a song that Stanley played for me earlier.
Ever since the night of the little bonfire, it seemed that he and I had been spending a lot more time together.........Without the other Losers around. Stanley was sweet and friendly (at least around me) and I enjoyed going over to his place to talk about anything and everything. Over this past week I learned more about the Jewish boy, and in return I shared with him things about me. But just today I made a serious discovery while hanging out with the curly-haired Loser.
"Okay, so tell me a little bit about you now. What's behind all those tough layers?" Stan playfully punched my arm and I giggled softly.
"My favorite color is blue and I love watermelon."
"Yeah but that's so unoriginal!" The blonde next to me whined and crossed his arms like a child.
"Well what would you like to know then?" He raised his eyebrow in a devious way and dragged me to his bed where we both sat down. Stan looked me and held my hands in his.
"Tell me about the first thing that comes to your mind." I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.
I was surprised at what I first thought about. The topic had never really been in my head for a while, but I decided to tell Stanley because I trusted him now.
Will Byers.
"I think you know of my friend Sadie Byers, right?" He nodded and faced his entire body towards me, as if signaling that I had his full attention.
"Then I'm sure you know of her brother Will, and how he went missing so suddenly. Well I've never told anyone this but...........I was there. That night he was abducted or killed or whatever the hell happened. We were in the woods playing at Castle Byers, which was his little fortress that he built when he was a toddler. It was a foggy day and the two of us decided on a round of Hide and Go Seek with me as the Seeker. Then out of nowhere the rumble of thunder startled me out of my counting. Rain suddenly began pouring out of the sky and lighting illuminated the clouds. I called out for Will and started wandering through the trees. That's when I heard his scream. It was filled with terror and he began calling my name. I couldn't see anything as the raindrops clouded my vision, but his voice bounced off the trees and filled my ears. I can remember exactly what he was saying. "It's so dark! It's so cold! IT's going to get me I can feel it coming! HELP (Y/N)! HELP!" After that I sprinted through the Barrens not even paying attention to where I was going. All I wanted to do was find Will and make sure he was safe! It seemed like I was moving in circles and I was drenched to the core. I kept screaming his name but there was no response.........Only this strange music. It sounded like a chorus of children but their song was horrifying yet captivating. Finally, I look up and see a red balloon floating towards me. A flash of lighting strikes it and the entire thing is on fire. Then it.......it........"
Tears were flowing down my face at this point and I was shaking in Stan's arms. Halfway through my story he held pulled me into a hug, which was comforting for my shaken conscious.
"Then it.......What?" He urged me to continue my story and I buried my face into his chest. Soaking his baby blue colored polo shirt with salty tear stains.
"Then I saw him. The fucking balloon morphed into Will's face! But it was on fire and it's eyes were black. Mouth hanging wide open and blood dripping from the long fangs that were chomping viciously. I stared in horror for one waking moment, and then I ran all the way back to the Byers' house. Not once looking back....." I cried more onto Stanley's shoulder and he simply ran his hands through my hair in a calming way.
"I'm so sorry you had to experience that. Don't worry (Y/n), you're not crazy. I believe you."
"Thank you Stan, it means a lot to me." We stared into each other's eyes and for a minute I seriously thought that we were going to kiss. But eventually he glanced away and looked down at his feet.
"I hate circus music too, especially when creepy kids sing it." I laughed slightly at his statement..........Before realization hit me.
I pushed away from Stanley and he gave a me a weird glance, but I started talking.
"How did you know they were singing circus music?" Suddenly his eyes grew wide and he hopped off the bed backing up slowly to the window.
I stood up as well and started walking to the Loser, trapping him in a corner and looking him dead in the eyes.
"You said so in your story right?"
"No, I didn't. I only told you that I heard children."
"Well I guess it was a lucky guess then!" He laughed uncomfortably and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Is there something you want to tell me??" I crossed my arms and squared my shoulders to look somewhat intimidating. Even if he Stan was almost a whole inch taller than I was.
"No! No! Not at all. In fact it's getting late and I think you should -" I cut him off and grabbed him by his collar. I pulled his face closer to mine and he squirmed to get out of my grasp. But luckily I had grown up around boys most of my life, so his strength was no match for mine.
"I'm not going anywhere. Now, Stanley Uris........"
"What do you know?"
