(Y/n)'s POV

I was in the kitchen humming along to Hall & Oates while baking cookies. I swayed my hips and dramatically pointed towards a wall when the lyrics dropped in.

"What I want! You've got! And it might be hard to handle!" I held the spatula to my mouth and sang into it like a microphone while dancing around in cheetah -print pajamas.

The oven began to beep and I rushed over before I possibly burn something and start a fire. My parents would kill me! But just as I placed the hot pan down on the counter, the door bell rang and startled me. Which cause my finger to hit to steaming metal.

"OW!" I yelped and put my finger in my mouth, in an attempt to cool it down slightly. I made my way towards the door and yelled out "COMING" as I heard the chiming sound once more. I yanked open the door and came face to face with a certain red head.

"Oh! Hey Beverly!" I smiled and pulled her in for a hug which she happily returned.

"Hey (y/n)! Nice pjs." She smirked and pointed at my onezie. I twirled around and stuck my hands out dramatically.

"Pretty cool huh?" We both took a moment of laughter before I interrupted the giggling session.

"So what are you doing here?"

"Well the Losers are going to the Quarry today and they invited me. I thought maybe you could come. You know, just so I'm not alone with a bunch of boys." I felt the ends of my lips curl upwards and I clapped my hands together excitedly.

"Of course I'll come! Hold on let me just get my things and then we'll go okay?" Bev shot me a thumbs up and I raced to my room.

*TIME SKIP TO THE QUARRY*

Beverly and I rode in a comfortable silence all the way to the top of the quarry. When we reached the top, the boys were already in their underwear staring over the edge of the cliff. Looks like no of them had the balls to jump off first! Bev and I glanced at each other, sharing a non-verbal message. Guess the girls were going to have to show them up today....

"We'll go!" The Losers turned around and stared as Beverly called out to them and we began to undress ourselves. I swear, I could practically see their red faces from here!

"Sissies!" I laughed and ran towards them, Bev not far behind me. Then when I got to the edge, I didn't even think for a second before jumping.

Stan's POV

Time seemed to slow down as (y/n) came dashing in our direction. She was so effortlessly beautiful. With that wild smile on her face, a wave of (y/h/c) flowing behind her, and a carefree spirit. I watched as she approached the end of the quarry and soared into the sky. Beverly passed us a second later too, and flew off the edge just as (y/n) had. I listened as both girls let out a holler and laughed, before a splash signaled that they had landed. We all looked over the cliff and saw them wave up at us.

"JUST JUMP! DON'T THINK ABOUT IT TO MUCH!!" (y/n) shouted up to us and we nervously looked at one another.

"AHH HOLY SHIT! We just got shown up by girls!" Richie was always talented at stating the obvious.

"We have to do that now??" I gave Bill and worried look and to my dismay, he noded slowly.

"YES!" Eddie seemed confident with his answer but his facial features read otherwise.

"Oh, shit."

(y/n)'s POV

The Losers Club, Beverly Marsh, and I had been swimming around in the quarry for the past two hours. We were having the time of our lives and there couldn't have been any better way to spend the second day of summer vacation. Stanley Uris and I were casually sitting together on a rock while the rest of the boys held chicken fights with Beverly. He was good company, mainly because he never said more than a couple words at a time to me. Which was okay! Since I wasn't much of a talker anyway. I only opened up to people I truly trusted, and that was a VERY select few.

"You know hanging out with us kind of makes you a Loser too." He gestured to his friends, mainly Richie Tozier who was screaming about something touching him underwater.

I laughed and pushed my hair off my shoulders. I closed my eyes and leaned backwards, resting my weight against my hands. The sun bounced off my cheeks and spread warmth throughout my face.

"I think I can handle that. There are way worse things to be called Stan."

"Yeah but no matter what they call us, were still a bunch of weirdos. Just boring, strange, and ugly weirdos." I watched him with a frown as he looked down at his legs and didn't make eye contact with me.

Just because they were Losers didn't mean they sucked. I mean in my opinion, they were all pretty frickin' awesome, and anyone would be lucky to have friends like these. I placed my hand in his and he looked up in a kind of shocked way. I smiled at him and he returned it with a half grin.

"You're not ugly Stan, Society is ......."
