Birth and Funeral

No one's POV

It has been five days since Carlisle started looking after Katerina. She now looks like she is about to pop and only drinks blood. Aro and Sulpicia is please to hear their child is healthy. It was Four oh five in the morning when Katerina goes into labour. She is in tremendous pain as Carlisle enters the room to deliver the baby.

"Get the baby out now!" she shouts in between contractions. Carlisle quickly prepared her and did a c-section. At 4:27am Alvara Katerina Volturi came into the world and at 4:29am Katerina Moretti died. The last thing she saw was her daughter being cleaned up. Once the baby was cleaned Carlisle took her out of the room to where Aro was waiting with Sulpicia.

"Allow me to introduce you to your daughter" he says handing the baby to Sulpicia.

"She's perfect" Sulpicia says lovingly and kisses her baby's forehead gently.

"Alvara Katerina Volturi" Aro says smiling as he holds his wife close as they look at their daughter. "The human mother?" he asks no looking up from Alvara.

"Dead, I will clean up the blood and she can be prepared for her funeral" Carlisle states.

"No, let the human employees do that" Aro tells him. "I must go announce our daughters arrival, why don't you take her to her nursery with Carlisle. He can tell you about her growth rate" he suggests. The pair agreed and Sulpicia leads Carlisle to Alvara's nursery. "So what will her growth rate be?" Sulpicia asks as she sits in the rocking chair. She decides to head her baby milk first and had prepared bottles before hand. She warmed it up and has started to feed Alvara.

"It will be very fast in the beginning, it slows down as they get older though" Carlisle assures her. "In a few weeks she will look nearly two years old" he states. "But it will slow down, just be sure to have clothes for now and to when she is full grown. Though it will take seven years until she reaches full grown. By then she'll look between 18 to 21" he explains. "She has already bonded to you" he adds and Sulpicia smiles as she burps the baby.

"I'm glad, thank you for all your help with her" Sulpicia says smiling. Aro appears and finally gets to hold his daughter. "When did Renesmee first show signs of her gift?" Sulpicia asks.

"Within the first twenty-four hours" Carlisle states. He answers a few more questions before leaving the couple with their new daughter. Sulpicia places the sleeping Alvara in her crib.

"She's beautiful" Aro says wrapping his arms around Sulpicia.

"Yes she is, when will the funeral be?" she asks.

"Tomorrow in the throne room, do you want Alvara to be there?" he asks.

"Yes, but not to close I don't won't her hurt from smoke inhalation" Sulpicia states. They spent the rest of the night with their daughter. Feeding her and changing her diaper, after the first time. Sulpicia dressed her in a light pink dress.

(Funeral)

Sulpicia holds Alvara close as she watches Katerina's body burn with the rest of the Volturi. Alvara had showed a sign of the gift of Telekinesis and Aro was thrilled about teaching her to control it. But Sulpicia said no training until Alvara looks to be five years old. The guard love their new princess and have all congratulated the happy couple.

Marcus says Alvara saw Sulpicia as her true mother as she does Aro her father. Caius was not really impressed with the baby hybrid, until she levitated him with her gift. Athenodora loved the new baby, but still did not what one of her own. As she enjoyed being able to give her niece back to her parents.

Katerina was dressed in a black and red dress, given a Volturi necklace to wear. Alvara also has her own Volturi necklaces that she plays with. She had make-up on, along with black heels and earrings. Her hair brushed so it looks soft as silk. Now her body burns surrounded by flames and Alvara looked a little sad. Sulpicia knew that somehow Alvara knew she was connected to the burning body and Marcus confirmed that.

After the funeral Sulpicia feed Alvara her blood for the week and put her down for her nap. While Aro had the ashes cleaned up then distributed over Volterra. Before everyone returned to their normal duties as if nothing happened. But Aro declared that there will be a ball on this day every year to celebrate the human who made it possible for us to have our daughter.
