Full Grown Ball

(Six years and nine months later) Alvara's POV

Nothing much has happened since the festival. Alec and I have spent little time together and when we did. We weren't alone. My training is pretty much complete. I've grown into a beautiful young woman with wavy dark brown hair and blue/grey eyes. Pale skin, button nose, heart shaped face and pink lips.

After the festival my parents allowed me to have more fun. I never got another. But I got to play a lot when I wasn't training. I've also had etiquette lessons with my aunt and uncle. Also Uncle Marcus and I would read together.

Today a ball is being held in my honour as it's my seventh birthday and I'm finally full grown. Mum and Aunt Athenodora helped me pick a dress along with a mask for the ball. The dress came with matching shoes. And are helping me get ready.

"Mum will Alec be there tonight?" I ask as aunt Athenodora does my hair.

"Yes, but you'll have to find him yourself" she states.

"Do you think he'll dance with me?" I ask.

"Of course he will" my aunt assures me. Mum finishes my nails and starts to do my make up. Once they're both done and my nails had dried, they help me into my strapless blue dress. I then stepped into my heels as they finished getting themselves ready. Then they let me look into the mirror as Aunt Athenodora leaves.

"You look beautiful" mum states.

"Not as beautiful as you" I tell her. "Mum, will I ever have someone like you and dad have each other?" I ask.

"I'm sure you will" she assures me smiling as there was a knock on the door. "Come in" mum calls and dad enters room. He stops when he sees us and flits over holding my close smiling at me.

"Both my girls look beautiful" he states.

"Thanks dad, is it time for the ball?" I ask and he nods his head. Tonight I'd be entering the ball unlike usual. Where I'd enter with my parents of an elite gaurd. We head for the throne room where the ball was being held. I finally found out what father did in there all day. I was scared at first, but he's my father and I love him. I've never drunk blood from the vein only blood bags thanks to mum. I'm grateful for that.

We reached the throne room and my parents enter first. While I take a deep breath and the doors open for me. "Now presenting the guest of honour, Princess Alvara Volturi" Uncle Marcus announces as everyone looks up at me. Once there I curtsy and everyone returns it with a bow of their own.

"Alvara you look breath taking" Alec states as he stands before me.

"You can't breath Alec" I remind him giggling.

"I have a gift for you, turn a around" he tells me gently. I do so and feel him put a chain around my neck. I look down to see a beautiful necklace and smile. "It's gorgeous" I state turning to face him.

"Not near as beautiful as you" he states making me blush. "May I have this dance?" he asks holding an arm out to me. We line up with the other five couples and the music starts. When it finishes I go to kiss Alec on the cheek. But he turns his head and our lips connect instead. I pull away giggling.

"Cheeky" I say smiling. Dad then appeared asking to dance with me and Alec went to dance with his sister Jane. "Can I ask you something?" I ask dad as we begin to waltz with the others.

"You just did, but you may ask another question" he states.

"How did you know mum was your one?" I ask.

"Her blood song to me like no other and I knew I had to have her. But I didn't want to just take her. So I courted her and saved her from an angry mob. We've been together ever since. Why do you ask?" he asks.

"There's some I like and might love. But I don't if it's real or if he feels the same way. How do I know?" I ask.

"Ask him" he states as the dance ends. I sigh and head other to the table grabbing a glass of blood. I head to the balcony and watch the ball from above.

"You know the party is down there, not up here" Alec says from behind me.

"But you're up here" I tell him and he chuckles.

"Alvara, I have to tell you something important" he states.

"Same" I tell him. "I think I love you" I say as he says 'I love you'. I blush looking down to avoid his eyes. He steps forwards and lifts my chin with his fingers and caresses my cheek as I look into his scarlet eyes.

"I am in love with you Alvara" he states and I smile seeing no lies in his eyes.

"I love you too Alec" I tell him and he kisses me passionately. We seem to forget everyone else until we pull away to her clapping and cheers. I blush hiding my face in his chest as he chuckles.

"What to get out of here?" he asks holding my hand. I nod my head and he leads me away from the ball. We head to my bedroom stealing the occasional kiss from each other.
