Aro's Half-human Child

The Festival

No one's POV

"It's not like she can play with our human employees children Sulpicia. She'll just have to make do until she's fully grown" Aro tells his wife.

"I know that, but she's child who just wants to have fun" Sulpicia tells him. Alec walks away towards Alvara's bedroom. He knew he'd get in trouble, but at least she'd have some fun at last. He shakes Alvara awake and she looks at him confused.

"What are you doing here Alec?" she asks yawning and looks at the clock. "It's ten o'clock at night" she tells him.

"I know, but I thought you could use a little fun" he says smirking.

"What sort of fun?" Alvara asks suddenly wide awake.

"There's festival on tonight with music, dancing and games" Alec tells her smiling.

"But wouldn't we get in trouble for leaving?" she asks.

"What's the fun without a little risk?" Alec asks and Alvara agrees to go. Alec leaves so she could change in private. When she leaves her room he gives her a cloak. Then leads her through some hidden passages and they leave the castle together. They stick to the shadows until they reach the festival.

"I'm hungry" Alvara tells Alec holding his hand. Alec leads her to the food stand and gets her a pretzel along with a bottle of water. They sit at a table while Alvara ate.

(Back at castle)

There was a knock on Sulpicia and Aro's bedroom door. "Come in" Aro says and Jane enters the room with Felix. "This had better be important, Felix why aren't you watching my daughter?" he asks.

"I just came from there, she's not there master" Felix says bowing.

"What do you mean she's not there?" Sulpicia demands worried.

"I'll handle this Sulpicia" Aro soothes her before glaring at Felix who holds out his hand. Aro holds it and sees Felix speaking to Alec.

Memory

"Demetri wants to see you in the training room" Alec tells him. "I'll watch the princess until you return" he assured Felix. Who left for the training room only to see Jane there.

"Where's Demetri?" he asks her.

"Flirting with one of the human employees as usual" Jane says shrugging.

"Alec said he wanted to see me" Felix states. Together they head back to Alvara's room only to not hear her inside. They ran to Aro's room and he pulls out of the memory.

Back to the present

"Jane where would Alec take my daughter?" Aro asks.

"He and I were suppose to go to the festival tonight" she tells him. Aro gathered some of the guard promising Sulpicia to bring their daughter home. They then leave to go find Alec and Alvara. Who were having a ball at the festival.

(Festival)

"Dance with me" Alvara says pulling Alec over to the people dancing. Alec tries to fight pretending to lose as he chuckles. They start to dance together not having a care in the world. It had been forty minutes since they left the castle and they'd played many games. Alvara finally felt like a kid.

"Come on, I'll win you a prize" Alec tells her when the song finished. Alec knocks over all the milk bottles and asks what prize Alvara wants. She puts to a purple bear and Alec tells the stand owner who gives it to him. (Picture of bear: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/4e/f7/9b/4ef79b193caa37495d3611ffbf2ac70a.jpg). "For you my princess" Alec says getting on one knee holding the bear out to her.

"Thank you Alec" she says hugging him tightly holding the bear. "Alec I'm tired now" she adds rubbing her eyes.

"Then lets get you home" he tells her and picks her up. She snuggles into his chest nodding off. "Hello Jane" Alec says turning around to face his sister and sees Aro also. "Master" he says bowing his head avoiding eye contact.

"You are in big trouble Alec" Aro snarls and Alvara steers in her sleep. "Now we will return to the castle and then you'll be punished" he states. Alec hands Alvara to her father who holds her close as they return to the castle. "Return her to her room and notify Sulpicia of our return" he tells Heidi handing Alvara to her. Demetri and Felix drag Alec to the throne room.

"Please master, Alec meant no harm" Jane tries to reason.

"Rules have been broken Jane and he must be punished" Aro states. He sits on his throne after reading Alec's thoughts. "Alec you are charged with taking my daughter out of the castle without permission or protection. How do you plead?" Aro asks.

"Guilty master, but I just wanted her to see what it was like to be a child" Alec states.

"Regardless you have broken the rules" Caius tells him.

"What should we do Aro?" Marcus asks.

"He broke the rules and there is only one way to deal with rule breakers. Alec you have served me well, but your time is up"  Aro states. Jane tries to reach her brother but is knocked out. Aro stands from his chair and approaches Alec as the doors suddenly open.

"Daddy no!" Alvara shouts running to Alec. She hugs him glaring up at her father as Sulpicia, Heidi and Athenodora appear in the doorway. "No hurt Alec, I love Alec" Alvara says crying.
