Your Pov. ((I promise not to fuck up this time))
After a night of sleep we were in the car on our way to the train station to aboard the Hogwarts Express. Although this was my second year, I couldn't stop shaking in excitement at the thought of arriving at Hogwarts. Speaking of that feeling of anticipation I discovered something interesting about people, they all have different ways of showing it. For me it was a simple tap of my foot and slightly wiggling my toes. Harry would have a weird almost anger expression on his face. Ginny would look around nervously like she had done something horrible. Mione grits her teeth a bit. Ron thins his lips. Sydney flicks her fingers. Everyone has a tick. I found it quite interesting actually, but enough about that.
I look next to Ginny who was seated between Harry and I (on my account). If she was nervous about Hogwarts or Harry sitting so close I wasn't sure, but still she's been looking around this whole time. I put a hand on her shoulder and she jumps slightly. I give a concerned look with a small smile.
"You okay?" I whisper to her as Harry continues to talk to Ron. She gives a nervous smile.
"I'm a bit nervous is all, you know first year and everything..." she trails off i nod.
"I know what you mean, it's my second year and I'm still nervous." We laugh a little and she looks at me.
"what's it like there? I only hear a little bit about it from my brothers, but they aren't very descriptive and Ron only talks about the food..." she asked with a glint of wonder in her eyes. I gave a sigh thinking about the beautiful castle with its wonderfully bright and colorful landscaping.
"Oh Ginny its beautiful there. The castle it self feels alive, the weather is always gorgeous, with the lack of green house gases the sky is always filled with stars and you can see almost every constellation. The plants, trees, and wild life are so colorful and exotic, the great hall is so high it feels like it is touching the sky, it even looks like it actually, the stones are always so cold yet oddly warm, the hall floors are oh so smooth that your feet are leveled perfectly to it, the rooms feel so homey the rugs are so comfortable they're like a bed for your feet. The common room feels like a warm sweater with a cup of tea after a day in the snow. The castle is so beautiful, to most it feels like home..." I trail off stealing the hint of wonder from her eyes and putting it in my voice gazing off in the distant thinking about my home. I was knocked out of the daze when Ginny gave a great sigh, I looked at her and smiled.
A few minutes of talking later we finally arrived at the train station, Mrs.Weasley quickly motions us to plat form 9 1/3.
"10:58! Come on, come on!" Beckoned Mr Weasley.
"The train will be leaving any minute," Mrs Weasley worries shifted slightly.
"Fred, George, Percy you first," Mr Weasley- why the fuck am I still saying Mr Weasley? I'm going to start calling him Mr. W cause he's waaaay to chill to go by that kind of professional shit.
The twins and Perc pass through and Mrs and Mr W enter with Ginny, leaving us three as the only ones left.
"I've got a bad feeling about this," I mutter
Ron and Harry make a run for the wall and that's when I realized I was most likely right and that we should have tested it, but I'm too late. The boys ram themselves into the wall not passing through and they end up crashing to the floor.
A nearby Station Guard shouts at them, "eh! What do you two think you're doing?"
Harry quickly makes up a lie, "sorry sir, lost control of the trolley."
The Station Guard gave them a glare then looked satisfied and set back to his post. I quickly walk over to them.
"Why didn't that work?!" Harry freaks
"The Gate way must have sealed," I stated rubbing my hand against the wall.
"Harry, y/n. If we can't get through, maybe mum and dad can't get back!"
This is like missing the bus all over again, except they made us walk. I thought to myself
"Maybe we should just go back to the car?" Harry suggests, but that's when Ron and I got an idea.
"The car..."
