Cameron left about an hour ago to go see Hayes at the hospital and I'm here alone. I hear my phone ring and go to answer it.

"Hello?"

"Savannah? Where are you?" It's Mallory.

"Oh, well, I kinda left school because Hayes and Dallas got in this huge fight and Hayes is in the hospital and yeah. How did you not notice?"

"Savannah, dear, you know me well enough to know I don't know anything about what is going on around me. Especially when my tray is full of food."

"Oh my goodness, Mallory." I laugh.

"It's true! Anyways, where are you now? The hospital?"

"No. I'm at home."

"Why?"

"I'd rather not say." I tell her.

"Okay... Well you should go to the hospital! I'll go too and have Carter take us." She says.

"Sure.." I trail, even though I don't want to go.

"Alright, see you in a little bit." She says and we say our goodbyes.

**At the hospital.**

We are all in Hayes' hospital room and I sit in the back, so he doesn't know I'm here. He doesn't care anyways. He even said it himself.

"Where's Savannah?" I hear Jack J. ask. I take that as my move to leave, so I did. I ran out of the room down to the parking lot to Carter's car. I pull out my phone and listen to music. I was going through Instagram when I hear the door open and Mallory sits next to me.

"What is your problem?"

"Nothing." I lie.

"You're lying."

"No I'm not."

"Yes you are."

"You weren't even there when all the drama happened so you wouldn't understand."

"I know. But please tell me!"

"No."

"Why?"

"Because I don't wanna tell you."

"You should. I'm your best friend."

"So?"

"So? You tell me everything!"

"Not this time." I state and her face falls.

"Fine then, I'll just go. Excuse me for trying to be a good friend."

"Well, stop." I snap and she leaves. I can tell she's crying, I feel so bad, but I can't tell her what's wrong. She won't understand. After a while the door opens again and it's Carter with Mallory and guess who.. Hayes. Mallory gets in the passenger seat and I'm stuck in the back with Hayes. I was about to scoot over away from him but Aaron gets in beside me. I scoot closer to him.

"Why so close?" Aaron laughs.

"She hates me.." Hayes mumbles and looks out the window. Aaron shrugs and puts his arm above the seat above my head. Hayes looks over and rolls his eyes at me. I mumble 'what?' And he scoffs and looks away.

"So, Hayes, do you have to take medicine or something." Carter asks.

"Yeah, for my back." Hayes mumbles and turns away after talking.

"Cool, alright Aaron, here's your house." Carter drops Aaron off at his house.

"Thanks man, see ya later."

**At home.**

I try to walk in the door when Carter dropped us off at the house but Hayes pushes me and storms in.

"Dude, what the hell?" I snap.

"Sorry." He mumbles.

"What's your problem?!" I half-yell at him.

"None of your damn business."

"Obviously." I roll my eyes.

"Why do you even care?"

"Why wouldn't I?"

"Just forget it." He sighs.

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"Because.." I trail.

"Because why?"

"None of your damn business." I imitate the words he said to me and he chuckles a little.

"Whatever. Just forget it, okay? You obviously don't care."

"How many times do I have to tell you! I do care!"

"No you don't!"

"Yes I do!"

"I said forget it!" He shouts and I scares me when he stands up and walks toward me. I back up. He must've seen that I was scared because his face softens.

"I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to scare you." He says and walks away from me to the kitchen.

"You want anything?" He asks and I shake my head.

"I'm not hungry." I lie.

"Okay..." He gives me a look and gets a brownie and another. He hands me one.

"I said I wasn't hungry."

"And I know you're lying." He walks past me again on the couch.

"Are you just gonna stand there or?"

"Oh, uhmm.." I awkwardly say and sit on a leather chair away from the couch.

"You don't want to sit on the couch?" He laughs.

"No."

"Why?"

"Cause I figured you don't want me to."

"Well you can. I don't hate you ya know." He rolls his eyes.

"Okay."

"Okay." I state. After about an hour of watching tv he speaks again.

"Do you hate me?"

"No."

"No isn't enough."

"It is for me."

"Well it's not for me." He scoffs.

"If it makes you feel better then since no isn't good enough, Hayes Benjamin Grier I do not hate you. You are just annoying sometimes."

"How did you know my middle name?" He laughs and I blush.

"I hear your mom say it sometimes."

"Oh." He laughs again.

"Yea." I mumble. "Do you hate me?" I ask him.

"No."

"Really?"

"Yes, really." He says and I get up.

"Where are you going?"

"Upstairs."

"Why?"

"Because."

"Why?"

"Because I can, that's why."

"No, come here first."

"Why?"

"Just come here."

"No." I run towards the stairs and about to run up but he grabs my arm and turns me around to face him.

"I love you so much." He takes my face in his hands and kisses me. After a while we pull away.

"I-I love you too."
