Chapter 48

(Before you read, this Jake is the one at school. Not the one that abused Savannah. This one is Dallas' best friend. He's just a jerk.)

"H-Hayes..." I stutter and tap his shoulder.

"Yeah, babe?"

"Check behind the curtain." I say and he gives me a confused look but looks anyway.

"Go get changed back into your clothes." He hands me my bag and I go into the bathroom and change. My hair still a little wet but oh well. He pulls my arm and runs out of the room.

"Where are we going?" I set my arm free from his light grab and grab his hand.

"We are walking out of here." Hayes says and the elevator opens to reveal a girl with brown hair and brown eyes and looks around 15.

"Madison?" Hayes says.

Madison.

The girl Hayes kissed. Now I remember. Madison fucking Beer.

"Hey, Hayes." She smiles annoyingly.

"Why are you here?" He steps beside her and let's go of my arm.

"I was just getting off. I'm visiting my boyfriend." She says and gets off.

"Who's your boyfriend?" Hayes holds open the doors so they continue talking as I check my phone.

"Dallas Randall. He got in a car wreck. He's here with his friend Jake." She says and my heart drops to the bottom of my feet and I can feel all color being sucked out of my face.

"Oh. Well I'll see you around sometime, yeah?" He smiles at her and I nearly gag at him saying that.

"Yeah, bye Hayes." She waves at him and he waves back.

Fucking bitch.

"Is something wrong?" He asks me as we go down to the first floor.

"I'm fine." I grit through my teeth and we walk out of the hospital. The hotel isn't that far. So that's where I started walking to.

"Savannah, damn. Wait up." He says and I walk faster almost jogging and he runs to catch up with me.

"Maybe I don't want to." I say. It's childish, but I was mad. I run faster towards the hotel and hear him running behind me. I know it's hopeless to run but I can't find myself to stop.

"Savannah, stop!" He yells as I run across the street but feel myself being pulled back into the familiar arms of Hayes.

"Why the hell would y-"

"To save you." He says and when he said that I see a huge semi pass us only a few inches from where we were.

"Oh my gosh, thank you." I say and he hugs me tight in his chest.

"So, what's wrong?" He asks but I still ignore him. We start walking to the sidewalk.

"Tell me." He demands.

"No." I say and like before, started running. I ran until I was at the hotel and ran upstairs and since I have the key, I opened the room and went in. I locked it so Hayes couldn't get in.

"Let me in, Savannah."

"No, Hayes." I change into my pj's since I'm not doing anything else today.

"Please!" He begs.

"No. Go away!" I say and I hear him sigh.

"It's Aaliyah and Mahogany. Let us in." I hear Aaliyah's voice and I let them in.

"Opportunity!!" Hayes shouts and before I could shut and lock the door he runs in.

"What the hell, Hayes." I say and sit on the bed next to Aaliyah as she makes popcorn. We planned a couple of days ago that we would have a movie night one night. And tonight's the night.

"What's wrong."

"Nothing."

"You're lying."

"Am not."

"Are to."

"Am not."

"Are to."

"Am-" I'm interrupted by Hayes sitting on the bed and pulling his lips to mine.

"Am not." I smile and pull away.

"Go out in the hallway guys. Seriously." Mahogany laughs and so does Hayes and I.

"Fine." He pulls my arm into the hall.

"What's wrong. Tell me now."

"Madison." I mumble.

"Excuse me?"

"Madison.." I say a little louder.

"Madison? Seriously?"

"Yes."

"I don't like her."

"You made out with her, didn't you?" I say and he sighs.

"Yes. But-"

"But nothing. I saw the way she looked at you. She was all over you and you went along with it!"

"Shut up! I don't like her like that okay?! I kissed her to get my mind off of you. And plus she has a boyfriend! Why would I do that? I wouldn't flirt with her! I love you too much to do that!" He shouts and I tear up a little.

"I-I love you too. But, I don't like you talking to her."

"Then I won't. I'll do anything for you." He whispers and snakes his arm around my waist and pulls me to him, "anything." He whispers again and kisses me. Oh how I loved his kisses.

"I love you." I say to him.

"I love you too. Now go back inside. They're probably waiting for you." He smiles and opens the hotel room door and I walk inside.

"Text me if you get tired of them!" He shouts and shuts the door as I laugh.

"So what are we watching?" I ask and grab the bowl of popcorn from Aaliyah and eat some.

"The Possession." Mahogany smirks and my eyes widen.

"I'm tired of this already!" I exclaim and they laugh.

"Oh come on! It's not that scary."

"Mhmm." I mumble and just text Hayes.

"Hayes wants to know if the boys can come." I say and Aaliyah groans.

"No!"

"But this movie is scary!" I say.

"So you need 12 others guys to come to your rescue?" Aaliyah laughs and I do to.

"Not exactly."

"She wants Hayesssss." Mahogany coo's and I scoff.

"Shut up." I mumble.

"Fine. Then pick out a movie." Mahogany says to me and I smile in satisfaction.

"Really? This movie?" She says as I pull out the movie 'Mrs. Doubtfire.'

"Yes! This movie makes me laugh. Either that or Matilda." I say and we end up watching Matilda. This movie still reminds me of how I was raised. I had to learn everything on my own. Then had to practically beg to go to school. Which is part of what I regret.

I end up falling asleep in the middle of texting Hayes.

Wow. What a day.
