Towards the dark

Chapter 2

My college was not that far actually. I reached within ten minutes. I was a bit nervous so I was standing in front of the gate and staring at it. Suddenly there was a hand on my shoulder and I turned to see who it was and saw a beautiful girl with a pretty smile plastered on her face. Her eyes sparkled with excitement and her expressions also said so. Then out of nowhere she spoke, " Hi, I guess you are new here. I'm Phoebe, Phoebe Lodge." She raised her hand towards me and I gladly shook it. " I'm Alice, Alice Keller." She grinned at me and said, " Well, Alice Keller, I'm predicting that we're gonna be best friends and so you don't need to worry or get nervous because you've already made one friend, okay?" "Okay." I said with a smile.
We entered the college. I was smiling and thinking of how my life is gonna be from now on when suddenly a group of boys caught my attention. They all had tattoos and almost looked dangerous. "Don't even think of talking to them. Stay away from them.", Phoebe said. "Why? I mean I know they almost look dange-.." She cut me off before I could finish my sentence, "Not almost darling, they are dangerous." I stared at her then back at them and again back at her and smiled. "Okay", I said. "Good", she replied.
    We started walking forwards when I felt someone's eyes on my back but I ignored it. We both went to collect my time table and cross checked it with Phoebe's time table. She squealed besides me as we had same classes. We both headed towards our first class of history and I swear as we entered, my heart skipped a beat as everyone was starting at us, especially me. And then something caught my eye. I had wished that those dangerous people should not be in any of my classes but what can you say, always unexpected things happen.
    Right there on the last seat were two of them. One of them , the guy with long hair which was in a bun, was staring at me with an intense gaze that made me rigid. I looked away and the teacher said, "You are Alice Keller, right? The new student?" She was smiling genuinely at me. I nodded my head and she said, " Well, glad to have you in my class Ms. Keller, now please have a seat." I looked across the classroom and noticed that the only seats vacant were in front of those demons. I cleared my throat and Phoebe and me moved to sit down there. I looked up only to meet those intense hazel eyes staring at me again. I looked away and sat down in my seat and Ms. Lewis started her lecture.
    It went by quickly and we were ready for our next class. Phoebe and me were about to enter the next classroom when we heard a loud voice, "Phoebe!" Phoebe turned around and grinned happily. "Joahnnah." They hugged and Johannah asked with a smile, "Who is this pretty girl?" " She is Alice Keller. A newbie and Al this is Joahnnah Andrew", Phoebe said excitedly. "Well , hello Alice, I'm Joahnnah, Phoebe's bestie." I was about to shake her hand when she took me by surprise and embraced me in a welcoming hug. We pulled away smiled at each other. She said that she had the same class as us and together we headed inside.
    I stopped in my tracks when i saw the bun man seated on the last seat. I mean seriously, in this class also??!! My luck is not with me today, I suppose. I huffed annoyingly and thanked god that there were plenty of vacant seats in this class. The three of us sat down and waited for our English teacher to come. Everybody was talking and then suddenly they stopped. A middle-aged person smiled at us and said, "Hello everyone , I'm Mr. James and i will be your English teacher." We greeted back and he started teaching. I felt a pair of eyes on my back and looked around to see who they belonged to and was shocked to catch a familiar pair of hazel eyes again.
