Towards the dark

Chapter 7

     "What would you like?", Charlie asked. We were both near the bar, leaning on it. "I don't drink. Maybe lemonade?" I asked and he nodded his head and flashed me a smile.
     "Lemonade for her and a beer for me." Charlie told the bartender. I looked at the bartender and he winked at me. I frowned.
     I looked at Charlie and he was glaring at him. He looked at me and smiled.
     "Here you go." The bartender said and winked at me again. I felt Charlie tensing and his jaw clenching. "It's okay." I assured him.
    We took our drinks and moved towards the booth where our friends were sitting. They all were smiling at us. Charlie sat besides me and placed his hand on my shoulder.
    "You look exquisite." He whispered in my ear. I blushed and muttered a quiet 'thank you.'
    "Lets play truth or dare." Phoebe said. Everybody responded by cheering.
    "So, Al. You are new so you go first." Phoebe said. I widened my eyes and said, "What?!?! No no! That is not fair!"
    "Everything is fair in love and war love." Phoebe winked at me. I glared at playfully at her.
    "So truth or dare?" "Truth." I replied.
    Everybody whined because I selected truth. I playfully stuck out my tongue at them.
    "Ummm..... have you kissed yet?" Phoebe asked.
"Why'd you ask that?" "Just answer!" Phoebe said excitedly.
     "No." I said looking down. I know it is surprising that in college and I still haven't had my first kiss.
     I don't want to waste it . It has always been something special for me. I actually wanted to do it but with the right person.
     "No!?" Everyone said in unison with wide eyes.
    I shook my head smiling.
"You know what Alice? All the boys are dumb that they haven't tried to kissed you yet!" Phoebe said and I blushed.
    "Can we go ahead now?" I asked.
    Everybody started playing. Phoebe had to do some weird dance. Joahnnah had to drink one bottle of wine without stopping. Archie admitted that he once had a crush on a boy but now he is straight.
    It was Charlie's turn.
     "So Charlie, truth or dare?"
"Dare" Charlie said bravely.
      "You have go and ask that girl over there on a date."
     "What?! No!! Definitely no Archie!" "Oh come on! Be brave and go!" Archie said
    "Fine." He went stomping his foot childishly and I laughed.
     Five minutes later he came back with a sad face.
     "She said no I guess?" Archie asked sarcastically.
     "She said yes." Charlie huffed and glared at Archie.
     Everyone started laughing. "You again now." Archie said looking at me.
    "Me again." I nodded my head.
      "Truth or dare." I decided to take dare.
     "Whoo!!" Everyone cheered.
     "Dare huh? So my dare to you is...you see that guy...?" He asked pointing his finger towards some random guy whose back was to us.
     "You have to take him out and kiss him." "What?!" Charlie, Phoebe and me said at the same time.
      "Not happening." Charlie said.
     "Never!" Phoebe said.
     I thought about it. If I won't do it then maybe I would get a tag that I am a coward.
    "Okay." I said.
    "What?!? No! You don't have to do it!" Phoebe and Charlie said in unison.
     "It's okay guys." I said and got up and started walking towards the guy.
     My friends followed me and I tapped on that person's shoulder.
      My eyes widened. It was him. Harry. But he was different today.
    He wasn't glaring at me. He was just looking deeply in my eyes.
     I looked at my friends and their eyes were big as potatoes.
    Phoebe was shaking her head. I mouthed her 'it's okay.'
     "Will you just come out for a second?" I asked him.
    "For what?" He asked.
     "Please."
     "No. You are a stranger. How do you expect me to come?" He mimicked the sentence that I told him that day.
    I glared at him and he smirked at me playfully.
     "Please." He nodded his head and we headed out.
    "Tell me." He said.
      I stepped forward and he withdrew one step back. I grabbed him and pushed him against the wall.
     He was quick to react and switched our places. Now I was pushed up against the wall.
    "What are you doing?" He whispered.
     His lips brushed mine which made me shiver.
     "I want you to act as if we are kissing."
     Obviously I wanted him to act. I didn't really want to get my first kiss now. I only wanted to do this because I didn't wanted to be called a bore or a coward.
     "Why?" He asked, hoarsely.
      "Just do it."
      He was about to place his lips on mine when I pushed him.
     "You have to act donkey!"
He huffed and we acted like pros.
      He gripped my waist as I put my hands through his hair and tugged at it. I did it because I saw it in movies.
    What surprised me was the sound that left his mouth when I tugged at his hair.
     He moaned.
     I smirked and then we showed that we were done kissing and pulled away.
     I don't know why he was smiling but that was the first time he smiled.
     I smiled back and then we went back in. We smiled at each other once again and headed towards our groups.
      "Yay!!!! Girl you finally got your first kiss. Now lets go and dance." Phoebe said.
       Well, no one actually knew what happened.
      Except for me and Harry.
