Towards the dark

    The annoying morning alarm went off and reminded me that it was my first day of my new college. Wondering why new college? Here is the answer. My dad has been recently transferred from New York city in America to London in UK. Its been two weeks since we've been here. I must say that this place isn't that bad. At least not that bad of how much I imagined it to be.

    I was about to go back to sleep when suddenly my bedroom door bursted open and there she was, my beautiful mother with a huge grin on her face. " Come on, honey. Wake up. You are supposed to be excited! Its your first day of your new college." I groaned ' who is excited to go to their new college where they don't have any friends?' I thought to myself. "Yeah, whatever." My mum frowned. She came and stood by my bed and asked,

    " Aww baby, what's wrong??"

    'Everything' I wanted to say but instead I said, " I'm just nervous. That's all." She gave me a warm smile in return and said, " Don't be nervous, honey. Everything is going to be fine. Don't worry, love. Now go and have a nice shower, changes in a nice outfit and meet me downstairs. I've made your favourite pancakes!"

    And with that she left.
I groaned again and got out of bed. I went straight into the bathroom and stared at my reflection in the mirror, thinking about my upcoming day. I started brushing my teeth and had a very relaxing shower. I went to my wardrobe and picked out a cute floral dress.
   
    I decided to blow dry my hair and tie it up in a ponytail. I decided to keep my look simple. I glanced at my watch and noticed I still had time left. I decided to clean up my messy room. I'm actually not a clumsy person but it happens sometimes.
  
     I kept everything in place and headed downstairs. I saw my mum and my dad laughing together on some topic. I went towards them greeting and kissing them on their cheek. We sat together And spoke just about random things.

    Then it was time for me to leave and so my parents wished me luck for my first day and of course the dialogue that any parent would tell there child on his/her first day of new college " Make some new friends!!" I nodded my head and left.
