Towards the dark

Chapter 15

We were inside my house right now. Phoebe was very angry that I brought him in but I told her that I had to talk something very important. I definitely had to know what happened back there when we were out. Phoebe was down and was definitely fuming and mad at me.

It had been fifteen minutes since we had been sitting here and we both haven't said a word yet.

" Are you going to speak Harry because I ain't letting you go until you answer my question." I said.

He was rubbing his face with his massive hands. I'm not asking him to answer right away. I will allow him to take his time.

" I-I can't tell you Alice. I can't." He said, shaking his head.

" Harry, please tell me. Is it something very secretive? I can't just ignore that Harry. It was something completely unusual. Take your time Harry but please don't leave me hanging like that." I said.

" I can't Alice. You-you will , you wouldn't want to see me ever again if I told you and I can't risk that. You are a really good friend of mine and I can't risk losing you for some thing that is bugging you or something that you so badly want to know." He said.

" You wouldn't know that Harry. You shouldn't assume things. Try and tell me about it. I can't promise you anything but I promise to stay calm and understand whatever it will be. I won't freak out, well maybe a little I will but nothing major. Just trust me, love." I said while putting my hand on his shoulder.

" I- okay." He said and I smiled at him.

"I –I am not normal. I am not like normal people."

" What do you mean?"

" I am-I am not a human."

My eyes widened and my hand immediately fell from his shoulder. I didn't freak out but I was shocked and surprised and my heart was beating fast. Really fast.

" What do you –what do you mean you aren't a human?" I asked, stuttering.

" I –oh god! I have no idea how I am gonna explain this to you." He said, running his hands through his hair.

" Please tell me Harry." I said with a plea in my tone.

" You won't believe me. I know you won't. You will think I am joking." He said.

" Harry, please." I said.

" Okay , okay. But promise me you won't tell anybody about it." He said and I nodded my head.

" I am not a human Al. Umm... have you heard about hybrids?" he asked and my eyes widened again but I reminded myself that I had to stay calm. I nodded my head to answer him.

"Well .... You can say that I am that. I'm a hybrid. In fact it isn't only me there are quite a few more people like me. Including my sister Glen and my parents." He finally said it and I literally couldn't believe my ears.

Yes I have heard about hybrids and I have also read about them. But aren't they man's creation or imagination?

" Are you gonna say something?" Harry asked looking in my eyes. He had concern laced in his tone and his eyes displayed the same emotion too.

  " I-I" I was still shocked and couldn't believe that these kind of things existed.

" I knew this would happen. I told you. Now you won't be friends with me anymore." He said in a sad voice.

" No –, Harry. Give me some time Harry this is unusual. I need things to process in my brain." I said and he nodded his head.

" You can ask me questions, Alice." He said.
