13: Very Less Time

As the Sadhu was about to leave. Grace rushed in screaming and crying.

Zen-> WHAT HAPPENED?!

Sadhu-> I was going to your house only...c'mon let's go.

Grace was crying tremendously and was unable to say anything. Grace followed the Sadhu and left.

Zen-> I-I going t-to arrange for t-the funeral. After I am done with my father's funeral with respect...I WILL KILL THAT BITCH MEGHA!

Zee-> Shall I come?!

Zen-> No Zee...Kath needs you more than me now *sniff* you stay with...and don't worry about me...I'll be fine...after all I won't be alone...some of the servants will accompany me.

He smiled weakly with moist eyes and left. I turned towards Kath...and I was she was staring at Zen with hatred and anger in her eyes.

Kath-> Father's funeral?!

Zee-> *sigh* Mr. Woodworth died strangely.

I was surprised...she didn't react how I thought she would be...she was shocked a little, yeah...but just a little only not upset or anything. Rather I would say I just saw her lips curled a little in a way of smile....STRANGE INDEED!

Zee-> Anyways Kath?! Are you fine now?!

Kath-> Zee...I-I recalled everything. During king Madhav Singh's reign I was a shopkeeper at the Johri Bazaar. Ratnavati used to visit the bazaar a lot with her maids. She was extremely beautiful. She was proud of her beauty and everyone used to admire her.

Suddenly the lights went off.

Zee-> Huh?! Where are the candles?! SERVANT!!

Servant-> Yes?!

Zee-> Bring us candles.

The servant went away to bring the candles. It was so dark that I wasn't even able to see myself. Suddenly the room became cold.

?- You betrayed me..I'll not spare you.

Kath-> No please Ratnavati...I-I didn't betray you. He threatened me to do that.

Kath's voice was shaking. I searched for Kath's hands to hold them.

Zee-> Kath?! W-what's wromg?! W-whose voice was that?!

The servant brought us candles. The atmosphere became normal again and I saw Kath was sweating badly.

Kath-> Zee...she'll kill me...please save me Zee.

She started to cry.

Zee-> W-what's wrong?!

Kath-> Actually Ratnavati used to come to my shop to buy hair oil and as Shinghia Sevra used to like her. He forced me to replace my hair oil with his love potion and when I denied, he threatened me that if I don't obey him he'll kill my family......that's why Ratnavati thinks that I've betrayed her....now what'll I do?!

Zee-> I-I'll save you....I won't let anything happen to you....trust me!

Those words made Kath calm a little. Suddenly we heard a horse.

Kath-> S-Swanki?!

We went out and found Swanki outside.

Zee-> What's he doing here?!

Kath-> I think..he wants us to go with him.

As we sat on him he started to run till we were in front of Edward's house.

Sadhu-> I'm glad to see you Zee. We've got almost no time. The situation has become worst. She's searching for a body and if she succeeds in it, it'll be difficult to resist her. She was inside Edward's body but I drove her out.

Grace-> S-sadhu...look....it's s-showing t-that it's 5:35a.m....by now the sun should have rose.

Sadhu-> It's all 'cause of her.

Edward-> W-what happened t-to me?!

Grace started explaining.

Sadhu-> Zee, I think you should inform Zen that we don't have much time left.

Zee-> Zen went for Mr. Woodworth's funeral.

Sadhu-> Ok...follow me...I know the place.

Kath-> NO...ZEE you shouldn't.

Kath dragged me to the corner.

Kath-> Don't be with Zen..he's a traitor..he and his dad both are traitor. He has a wife and her name is Megha, she's pregnant with his baby.

I didn't know what rubbish she was telling. But her last words"she's pregnant with his baby." made me burn inside.

Zee-> WHAT RUBBISH YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT?! SHUT UP!!

Let me go...bye...I'm going to look for Zen!!

The sadhu and me reached the burial ground. We found Zen sitting soulless in front of Mr. Woodworth's coffin. The servants were preparing the tombstone.

Sadhu-> This is the royal burial ground.

Zee-> I see.

Me and the sadhu attended the funeral. The sadhu chanted some spells so that Mr. Woodworth's soul rests in peace. After we were done....the Sadhu informed Zen everything that how Ratnavati's soul was finding a body and how we all don't have much time.

Zen-> THIS ALL HAPPENED BECAUSE OF THAT BITCH MEGHA...I'M GONNA PUNISH HER FOR THIS....I'M RETURNING TO THE WOODWORTH PALACE.

Zee-> I-I wanna join you too, Zen.

Sadhu-> That'll be good...you both go...I'll meet you both there with the others.

Me and Zen, we reached the palace and we were astonished to see that it was totally dark. It was looking haunted.

Zen-> Oh my gosh!! Look at all these flowers.

They were all dried.

Zee-> Huh?! The trees, plants and grass everything is dried now...but-

?-> Welcome back my dear husband. *evil laughter*

Zee-> Huh?! M-Megha?!

Megha-> What did you think?! You'll steal my husband from me, you bitch!!

She went towards Zen and pulled him by his collar.

Zen-> WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! AND HUSBAND?! ME AND YOUR HUSBAND?!

Zee-> GO AWAY FROM HIM!

I tried to resist her but she pushed me, some green lights came from her hand and I hit the wall hard.

Zen-> ZEE...ARE YOU FINE?!

I saw Zen running towards me through my partly opened eyes. But Megha again did something and Zen became unconscious.

Zee-> W-was K-Kath r-right?!

It was hard for me to keep my eyes opened.
