She stared at him from her side of the bed, her eyes filled with longing for she knew what's about to happen moments from now. It's one of the hardest, excruciatingly painful decision she had to make every single time. She wished it could've been easier, like she could will herself to be numb through time but who was she fooling when each time seemed harder than the last?

She laughed bitterly to herself, knowing she doesn't have anyone else to blame for this hurt she had inflicted upon herself. It was her decision in the first place so she just had to suck it up and stand by it no matter how each of their encounters make it almost impossible for her to do so.

Truth be told, there are times when she would want to give in, succumb to her innermost desire to be with him but she couldn't - wouldn't - by all means.

As she traced her fingers over his chest, getting acquainted with the feeling of that one scar resting just above his heart, she's immediately reminded of the why.

And that pushes her to leave him once again.

She slowly manoeuvred herself out of his embrace, careful not to wake him for she knows that him - trying to convince her to stay yet again - would make it a thousand times harder for her to leave. She shifted to a sitting position on the edge of the bed, eyes scanning the small motel room for any sign of her clothes.

It wasn't that hard to find her clothes but she sighed defeatedly knowing she would have to travel back to her hideout without that one important piece of clothing. The lacy material had been ripped rather brutally and she hates herself for blushing at the memory of how it happened just hours ago.

She always knew that Barry would always be passionate and sensual every time they would commit this act of love but ever since they, or more accurately she, had transformed this into more of an agreement, he had been rough and demanding for the first few rounds.

She wouldn't take it against him for she had been the same. The hunger, the frustration, the longing - everything that had come between them in their time apart has done nothing but fuel their desire to be reunited in the most intimate ways possible.

Taking a quick look at his sleeping form, she gathered her leather jacket and made her way to the door, fumbling with the keys until they gave a satisfying click, signaling that she could turn the knob. Before her hands could touch the cool metal, a gust of wind startled her, stilling her every movement.

"Where do you think you're going?" His voice was stern and she didn't need to look up to see him pissed at her yet again. She used to be intimidated by this look of his, something he rarely displays but after sometime and drawing courage from the coldness within, she had perfected how to be unfazed by him.

"By now, I thought you already knew the answer to that." She met his eyes, challenging him to let her go easily this time but she knew it's the last thing he would willingly do.

"You're not going anywhere. Not this time." He retorted, arms crossing on top of his bare chest.

She laughed mockingly at him, staring him down with a raised brow. "That's what you said last time. And a couple of times before that. Do you really think it would make such a difference now?"

"Those are in the past. It's different now."

She chuckled once again, making him clench his jaw as she made her way back to the bed, flopping herself down. "Yeah? How so?"

Barry narrowed his eyes at her, trying to display his sense of authority but it would actually be more effective if he wasn't standing almost naked with only his boxers to cover him up. "Because there's no way I'm letting the love of my life slip through my fingers yet again. Not after I realized how much of a fool I am for letting her down, over and over again and not do anything about it."
