Chapter Eight: Open Wounds (Alexis' POV)

I woke up in the Heaven Spire infirmary as I looked around the place sitting up and wincing when I gripped my stomach. Ugh that girl was mean...Big boobed lady and her combat boots...I'm going to give her back that kick someday....

I looked to my right and big brother Eric was already there sitting up as well. A cast on his leg since that werewolf bit his leg hard. I should've watched my back. When I looked at the door a doctor came in as I hissed at him. I didn't like doctors nope nope! Heck, Chara even got mad at me when i--...Chara.....CHARA!!

Suddenly I got on my feet but then yelped and held my leg groaning in pain. "Owwwwww!!!! H-huh?" When I looked at my foot it was wrapped in bandages and when I touched it I immediately yelped and frowned. It really hurts!

"I wouldn't touch that if I were you....that bite almost made your foot fall off! Good thing it wasn't too deep! But I recommend you don't walk with that foot just yet..." The doctor told me as she smiled holding a chart and walking over to Eric to check on him.

"Hey sugah! How's them bruises?" a familiar Texan accent spoke through the door as she comes in.

"Kaity!!" I smiled and waved my hands around wildly. "Where's Chara? Wasn't she supposed to catch up with us?" I grin but then it turned into a frown when I noticed her expression.

"Umm...When I finished them werewolves off...I went to look for her sugah...and I found her..." She trailed off and my eyes immediately widened with worry as I grabbed the crutches next to me and starts to move them fast when Kaitlyn stopped me.

"Sugah slow down! Chara is fine! She is in the room next to yours and Eric's! She's restin' darlin'! Though she ain't as lucky as you and Eric over here...When I found her...there was a sharp branch stickin' her through her stomach and she was badly bruised all over..." Kaitlyn looked down and sighed as she patted my shoulder. "But she is awake and well don'tcha worry! Best we just let the gal rest and—"

"GOD DAMN IT!!!"

I blinked and Kaitlyn looked out the door and suddenly panicked. This made me curious as I walked to the door and saw Chara in patient's clothes like me and Eric. She had a cast on her right arm and a big bandage wrap around her stomach that had a little bit blood on it from her wound as Kaitlyn just told me.

"Kaitlyn get out of my way!!" Chara yelled as she growled at Kaitlyn.

"Now Chara calm down sugah! You just woke up plus them wounds are not yet healed! Rest a bit darlin'! you need it after that fight you had with Luxuria!"

At that word Chara looked up at Kaitlyn and did something I never expected her to do. She kicked Kaitlyn in the stomach and made her body slide across the floor as she reached infront of someone's feet. All the color drained from my face as I looked at the said person. It was Commander Monday and she looked extremely pissed! Like even madder than usual!

"Chara what is this?! And why are you out of bed?!" Miss Monday said as she glared at Chara who only looked at her with this look that I couldn't recognize. I never seen her look like this when she was mad. It looked cruel, dark....and sin-like....

"Commander Monday....please move out of the way...." Chara said with such a dark tone...if a stare could only get anyone killed Commander Monday would have died right now from Chara's stare.

"Chara don't make me hurt you just to get you to stay in your room....you're badly injured and I must insist that you stay in there..."Miss Monday said as she helped Kaitlyn up who winced at the pain.

"Chara? Please...you should rest..." I suddenly spoke earning a look from her. I would be lying if I said that her stare didn't scare me. It was a look that haunted my dreams. As she sees my expression she calms down and gave me a small smile.
