Did he just say... wedding dress shopping?
I was overcome with happiness which was immediately replaced with sadness.
I never imagined buying my wedding dress like this. Through a contact. Not an official one but still.
I shrugged internally. Things don't always turn out the way you want. Doesn't mean it's bad.
So I got ready and headed to the car, smile and all.
He looked excited surprisingly.
Today Landon was driving us so I had to sit with Theo in the back seat.
It was akward to say the least, considering this was the first time he actually sat with me in the back seat.
He stared out the window as I stared at him. Creepy, I know, but I am a woman after all. Besides, he is my future husband.
He caught me red handed staring at him and smirked discreetly.
"Like what you see, princess?" He said cockily.
"Yeah. I'm just staring at my reflection through the window," I said back snarkily.
He laughed and then the car came to a halt.
"We're here," he said, before opening the door for me. He tried to hide his smile but it was obvious. Why was he so excited?
And then I saw why.
He took me to the most expensive place in town.
Jeez, I could never even dream of seeing this place. If the inside was as nice as the outside, then I was in for a treat.
There were paparazzi trying to take numerous pictures of us but we had a crew of security guards swoop in and save us. I would have to thank them later.
I walked towards the door, taking small steps, until I finally reached.
Theo dramatically opened the door for me and then I saw the place. Absolutely stunning.
It was more than I could ever imagine.
Beautiful white fluff covered all seats and rugs were very modern and fluffy as well. There was a waiting room but a worker took one glance at Theo and immediately let him in. She led us to a much more lavish room while we sat on extremely comfy seats.
"Soo.. what'dya think of the place?" He said.
"Its above and beyond," I said honestly.
"I know," he smiled back.
And then a thought occurred to me.
"Do you own this building too?" I said curiously.
"Actually, I don't. One of the very few," he said.
Suddenly a young - attractive - woman come out holding a folder.
She looked up and greeted Theo with a hug.
"Theo! How lovely to see you," she said extra sweetly.
I'm not sure if it's just my hormones right now but I really disliked this girl. In fact, I hated her.
He smiled back just as warmly, "Clara! Nice to see you."
"I see you brought an employee of yours," she said, staring me down.
I needed to say something.
"Yep, and his future wife," I said, staring her down just as hard, throwing my arm around Theo's waist.
Theo, finally sensing the uneasiness between us tries to calm the atmosphere. "Well let's go look for dresses shall we?"
Clara nods professionally and leads us to a large room filled with luxurious dresses.
But they all seemed so... boring?
Where was the red? Where was the sparkle? I wanted colour! In India everything is colourful.
"Do you happen to have any coloured dresses? Red perhaps?" I asked.
"Red?" She looked genuinely confused. "Why on earth would you want a red wedding dress?"
"I mean, if you couldn't tell, I'm Indian. In India, we wear coloured wedding dresses," I explained.
"Well, sorry but we have no red dresses here," she said, almost mocking me.
"Well then you'll make one," Theo said.
"Huh?"
"I didn't bring here here only for her to leave the next second. You must have dress makers somewhere around here. Make her whatever dress she wants," he demanded. His scary side was coming out and I loved it.
Not the time to get turned on.
"I- I don't kno-" she started, seemingly becoming afraid.
And then the manager walked out.
"What on earth is happening here? Theo, how great you see you and your future wife," she smiled. She seemed to be around 40 years old.
"I was wondering if I could get a customized dress?" He asked her.
"Well it's not technically what we offer, but I can make it happen," she said.
"Great! Should we come now or would you prefer later?" He asked.
"Now is fine, come along," she said, leading us. "Oh and Clara, get back to work."
Clara shot me a death glare before continuing on with whatever she was doing.
We arrived in yet another lavish room.
"So before we start, is there anything about your preferences that I should know? Any important factors that I should be aware of?" She asked.
Thank god she asked because I didn't feel very comfortable telling Clara that I was pregnant.
"Well I would love a European- Indian dress mix. With the red and white together. Also I'm pregnant, but it won't be too much of an issue because my stomach won't grow much in a week," I chuckled nervously.
"Oh how wonderful! I would love to do that for you. Congratulations, you will be amazing parents," she said excited.
And we drew and drew and drew. Until finally, we made the perfect dress.
I gasped when I saw the final drawing. It was perfect.
"Ahh! I love it so much!" I embraced her.
"I'm glad you enjoy it. It should be ready in the next few days," she said.
"Oh, I'm so excited!" I looked over at Theo and he was smiling at me.
He walked over and looked at the picture.
"Wow. Its so unique! I love it. Thanks for making this happen," he said to the manager.
"Anything for my best sponsor," she said back.
And then we headed home with huge smiles on our face.
Before he headed to his room I gave him a huge hug. He tentatively hugged me back.
"Thanks for doing this," I whispered in his chest.
"Anytime," he whispered back.
I was getting mixed feelings. Did he like me or not?
I didn't have time to think about it because the next thing I knew, I was deep asleep.
