I decided to wake up earlier than usual today. That's the thing with pregnancy, it's unpredictable.

I tiptoed to Theo's room and surprisingly, he was already awake talking on the phone.

Who would he be calling so early in the morning? A girl?

I knew it was wrong, but I decided to eavesdrop, sitting down by his door. I squished my ear as close to the crack as possible.

"..But what if she doesn't like me..?"

I heard through the door crack. That was all I needed to hear in order to realize he was indeed talking about a girl. Who?

I had to take action.

So I walked in as if I had no clue he was on the phone.

"Rise and shine!" I said upliftingly, opening his curtains.

He looked at me in shock. He was probably afraid I heard him talking.

"Hey," he said sleepily. "Did you hear any-" he started but I cut him off.

"No no no. Don't worry," I reassured him.

Immediately he looked relieved. He whispered something to the person on the other side of the line, then turned his phone off.

"Go on a date with me. Tonight," I blurted out.

He looked hesitant.

Damn it. I should have kept my mouth shut.

He didn't say anything so I interrupted his thoughts.

"Sorry. Forget I said anything. God what was I thinking?" I looked down at my feet.

"No it's not that," he started. "It's just that today you get to design the shelter. What time were you wondering?" He asked.

That made me smile.

"8:00. I'll text you the details. Landon will drop me off," I stated.

He looked hesitant about the Landon part but let it pass.

"Deal."

One hour.

One hour until our date.

I texted him the details of the place and now I just had to get ready. Earlier today I was busy with the design of the shelter and I just got home.

My closet was filled with expensive clothes that I never even knew existed. He probably filled it up.

I scrolled through them, looking for a dress.

"Nope, nope, nope," I mumbled to myself.

Why was everything so.. fancy? Who even wears ruffles anymore?

And then I saw it.

"Perfect!" I screeched.

It was the perfect black flowy dress with slight gold accents. It still had the tag on it but I ripped it off, not wanting to see the horrendous price.

I slid it over my body and it fit  beautifully. Flowy but not too flowy. My cleavage looked amazing, and a lot bigger then what I was used to. Perks of pregnancy, I guess.

I looked at myself in the floor length mirror and smiled with satisfaction.

Gurl I look gooood.

Now time for makeup! My favourite part. I never had the money for expensive makeup, but whatever I had was always fun to play with.

I settled for a brown smokey eye with a glossy nude lip. I decided on no highlight because of my "inner pregnancy glow."
