Cucumbers taste so pleasant. Not overly flavoured and thirst quenching. Not to mention low fat.

However, they are slightly less pleasant when they're on your eyes. Sticky and falling every few seconds.

Which is obviously happening to me right now.

I woke up with a note informing me that Theo is forbidden to see me until this evening.

And then I was bombarded by stylists and makeup artists.

After getting my beauty sleep and eating a nutritious breakfast I was sent away to be pampered.

I was getting my nails cleaned, filed, and painted to perfection while I lay lazily with cucumbers on my eyes and a soothing face mask on.

The cucumbers were getting warm so the kind stylist took them off and prepped my face for makeup.

I smiled gratefully towards her. "Thanks."

"No problem," she said, before going off to do her work.

"So how's our bride looking?" The head stylist, Leah, said. I've only known her for a few hours and she's amazing. I can tell we're going to be great friends.

"Beautiful as ever," the makeup artist replied.

"Good good," she mumbled, touching up my hair.

She faced me. "How is the bride feeling?" she asked, smiling slightly.

"Nervous, but also really excited. I'm so grateful to have you here," I said honestly.

"I'm glad to be here, honey. Don't worry, the nerves will dissapear after a while," she winked. I hope.

I checked my phone to see a text from Cali informing me that she's almost here.

In the meantime, I was I instructed to lean back so my makeup could be done. The artist blended, chiseled, and brushed my face to "perfection," according to her. Adding a matte red lip to compliment my dress.

I was forbidden to see myself until the end. On an ordinary day, I would be terrified at not being able to see myself, but according to Theo (and the internet), these girls were the best in the country.

The second the makeup artist finished, Cali came bursting through the door.

"I'm here! I made it!" She exclaimed, drawing everyone's attention on her.

Immediately I rose from my seat and gave her a hug, ignoring the "watch your makeup," warning from Leah.

Cali looked at me and started freaking out.

"AW YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL. And you've grown so much since the last time I saw you!" She exclaimed, giving my exposed stomach a quick pat.

"Thanks Cal," I said smiling. "You should probably start getting ready now. I have to finish dressing up," I rolled my eyes.

"Oh, I can't wait to see the final result!" she winked before getting ready herself.

After hours and hours of makeup and dressing up I finally heard the three words I had been waiting to hear.

"We're done."

Fina-fuçking-lly.

I was about to look at myself before Leah screamed "Wait!"

I turned my body towards her and caught a glimpse of beautiful, gold shoes in her hand.

She passed them to me.
