"We believe in ordinary acts of bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another."
-Veronica Roth, Divergent

§

The car stopped and Heath got out, going around the front of the car to get me out. He picked me up and I had to bite down on my sleeve to stop myself from screaming.

"Shhh, you're okay. We're here." He said, entering the emergency room.

Once the nurses saw me they rushed me into surgery.

They put me to sleep using a mask and that's the last thing I remember.

§

I groaned as I woke up, feeling nauseous and sleepy.

"Ah, you're awake." A male voice said from in front of me. I glanced up and saw a man - who I'm assuming was a doctor - smiling at me. "I'm Doctor Samuel Newton and the surgery was a success and you haven't got any permanent damage. The glass was very deep so you might feel sore for a while, but don't worry. If you do however have it for longer than a couple of weeks, please come and see me."

I nodded, listening intently, "A nurse will be in here soon to give you some water and food." He said and left, leaving me alone in the recovery room. I looked to my right and saw a wall with medicine cabinets, and on the left was a curtain. The person in there must not want to be disturbed.

"Hello, my name is Poppy and I'm just going to ask you some questions and give you somewhat you need." A nurse said, walking in with a clipboard. She smiled at me and I gave her a smile back.

"Okay."

She asked me questions and gave me water and food. Once she left I sighed and looked around, trying to find something to do.

I decided to just sleep, not knowing what to do.

§

"Hey, Angel?" Heath's voice asked and I opened one of my eyes. Heath was smiling at me, sitting on the chair next to me, "How are you feeling?"

"Tired," I said, stretching.

"I would imagine. You've been asleep for quite a while." Zane said, walking in with a camera in hand.

"How long?"

"80 billion years." He replied and I laughed.

"Just a few more years and then I'll be caught up with my sleep," I said, jokingly. We all laughed and Zane switched the camera off. We started talking but was cut off by the doctor walking in.

"Hi, I have some tests here and you should be able to leave tomorrow." He said and my eyes widened.

"Really?" I asked and he nodded, chuckling at my reaction.

"Yes, there doesn't seem to be any glass in you and you seem to be fine. But, remember if you feel pain for a couple of weeks and it doesn't go away, you need to come back here." He said and I nodded, grinning. He gave me a smile before leaving.

"Well, at least you'll still be in my daily vlogs," Zane said, laughing. I laughed too, but I didn't understand the joke fully.

§

I signed the paperwork and gave Poppy a smile, walking towards the door.

"Bye!" She called after me and I waved, turning around. I bumped into the door and she laughed, making me blush in embarrassment.

I quickly turned around and retreated to the car, hiding my blushing face by looking down.

"You ready, Angel?" Heath asked and I finally looked up, nodding. He grinning at me and started the car.

§

"She's back!" Asher shouted, running at me and jumping into my arms, wrapping his legs around me. I stumbled but kept balance.

"Asher!" Zane screeched, coming out of the house, holding a camera. He quickly set it on the car and tried to pull Asher off of me.

"No!" Asher screamed as Zane finally pried him off of me.

I laughed as he struggled to get out of Zane's grip. Failing of course.

"Okay, calm down, calm down," Heath said, climbing out of the car with my big bear. I grinned and skipped over to him, taking the bear and hugging it.

"You do realise you're making a fool of yourself, right?" Asher asked and I grinned even wider.

"No, Leo's making a fool of himself, not me," I said and they started laughing.

We went inside and they told me what I missed.

"Have you guys even slept?" I asked. Zane and Asher nodded while Heath looked away, acting like he hadn't heard me. "Heath."

"Fine! I may or may not have stayed up all night editing videos." He said, sheepishly. "But, I had help! Via helped me with most of it."

"Well, Via's probably sleeping now, so I suggest you do the same," I said, pushing him towards the stairs. He groaned but went upstairs.

"Now then, what do you guys want to do?" Asher asked and I shrugged.

"I think we should talk to Leo. I want to know what you look like." Zane complained and shook my head, frowning.

"I want it to be a surprise," I said and they groaned.

"Why?" Asher whined and I shrugged.

"Because."

They both glared at me and I chuckled, grabbing my phone from my pocket.

"I'm calling him," I said and dialled my number.

Ring...
Ring...
Ri-
"Hello?"

"Hi, Leo. I was just wondering how we're going to meet each other." I said, he stayed silent for a few seconds and I furrowed my brows. "Hello?"

"Huh, sorry what?"

"I was just asking if you were coming to Florida or am I going to South Africa," I said and we started planning. "So, it's settled then. You're gonna come here, I'll sell my house to someone and then we live our lives in Florida happily ever after."

"Yeah," he said chuckling. I grinning and smiled we exchanged goodbyes, him hanging up when someone burst into the room. I smiled and shook my head, knowing it was Lilly or Amy.

"That was disappointing," Asher said and we all laughed.

"Well, I think I'm gonna go to sleep," I said, walking up the stairs.

Asher: "G'night."
Zane: "See you tomorrow." they said in unison.

I climbed up the stairs sluggishly. When I finally got to the room, I didn't bother to close the door. I just fell onto the bed and fell asleep.
