"You are a human with one life, and it's up to you to make it the best life you can."
-Daniel Howell

I woke up to my doorknob rattling loudly. I furrowed my brows and got up, on high alert.
Hesitating, I reached for the lock and unlocked it.
Someone fell on top of me and I opened my mouth to scream but a hand covered my mouth.
I was finally able to see who it was and I frowned.
Zane?
"What are you doing?" I asked, my voice muffled by Zane's hand. He didn't seem to hear me, he just kept looking around frantically.
I glared at him and opened my mouth.
His hand retracted immediately, him making a disgusted face, "D-Did you just...lick me?" He raised his voice at the end and I grinned sheepishly.
"What are you doing?" slowly and he then seemed to realise he was on top of me.
He scrambled off of me and offered me his hand. I gladly accepted and waited for him to answer.
"Well?"
He blinked at me and furrowed his brows.
"What do you mean? You were screaming for help." He said and I frowned, furrowing my brows.
"I was sleeping. You woke me up by trying to open the door." I explained and we stared at each other before he gasped and grabbed my hand, dragging me out of the room. "What are you doing?"
"Someone opened your closet door and I am getting out of here." He said, not looking back at me. I glanced behind me as he stopped to open the door. I heard footsteps and took a step closer to him. He glanced at me and seemed to notice the footsteps. He unlocked the door as fast as he could and we raced out of the house.
§
"What if those footsteps were just Heath or Asher?" I asked as we walked down the mall looking at stores.
He looked at me and shook his head, "They left earlier this morning. Going to check out an abandoned asylum for later tonight."
I nodded and spotted a bookstore. I picked up my pace and walked over to the store, Zane trailing behind me, not bothering to try and keep up.
I bought a few books, okay maybe a lot of books, and we continued shopping for a few more hours.
§
It was getting late and we started to walk home, a bunch of bags hanging on our arms.
We were laughing and just having a great time.
I noticed that another car was in the driveway and glanced at Zane, who was smiling.
"Who's in our driveway?" I asked and he shrugged, opening the gate.
I narrowed my eyes in suspicion and turned around, walking away, my hands in the air.
"Where are you going?" Zane asked and I glanced over my shoulder.
"This is too suspicious! I'm getting out of here!" I yelled and continued to walk. I didn't notice Zane running up behind me, so you can imagine that I got quite the fright when I was dragged towards the house, "What are you doing?"
Zane didn't answer and I huffed, letting him drag me into the house.
He dragged me to the lounge and plopped me on the couch. I closed my eyes and heard a lot of moving.
I was getting uncomfortable and decided to go take a nap in my room. I opened my eyes and got up. I headed up the stairs, not caring if they pranked me anymore.
I just wanna go to sleep.
I saw that my door was closed and narrowed my eyes, frowning.
"I just want to go to sleep. I don't want want to deal with this #$%^."
I sighed and rolled my eyes, reaching for the doorknob.
I jumped in surprise as things were thrown everywhere and people were screaming.
