I bounced up and down and Tia laid her head on my chest. I kissed her forehead standing next to Nicholas.

"What did you say the car looked like sir?" The cop asked Nicolas.

Nic sighed. I swear this cop gotta be deaf. Nicholas said the shits about 10 times already.

"A .. GREY ... DODGE ... CHARGER!" He yelled and Tia jumped. I patted her back. "Damn.." He mumbled and I laughed a little.

"Alright we found them ," The other cop said approaching us holding a small Ziploc bag of the bullet shells. "They are indeed shells from a gun." He said.

"Do any of you have an idea or anyone we should look into who could've done this?" He asked us.

Nicholas looked at me and I looked back at him.

"Tell em'." He told me. I sighed.

I honestly didn't want to put Jacquees's name in any of this but I just have that guy feeling that he does. I don't want to say someone's name and its wrong then this'll keep happening.

"My ex-boyfriend could possibly be involved in this.." I said. Nic rubbed my mid back and kissed my forehead.

The cop wrote something down. I'm guessing Quees's name. "And why would he be involved? Did something happen between the two to you?"

"Well .. we broke up. I started seeing Nicholas , got pregnant , and now I think he's upset." I explained truthfully. I hope I'm wrong.

If Jacquees is behind this or have something to do with this, I'll be disappointed and devastated

"And his best friend," Nic added.

I frowned looking at him. "Jarvis?" I questioned.

Nic nodded. "That nigga who be coming get Aiden with him. He stay mugging the fuck outta me."

I looked back at the cop. "And his cousin , Jarvis Maine.." I said.

"And Rodriquez Broadnax AKA Jacquees is your ex-boyfriend , correct?" I nodded. Everyone knows Jacquees. "Good music , my girlfriend listen to him all the time." He said and I noticed Nicholas rolled his eyes causing me to laugh.

"We're gonna have to look into this more. That Jarvis guy isn't a stranger.." The cop said. I frowned.

"We're gonna get back with you guys when we get more information. Until then , watch your surroundings." The older cop said and we nodded.

Nicholas looked hella pissed.

"Thank you so much officers." I said and they smiled.

"Anytime ma'am , anytime." They said and they left the house. Nicholas and I walked back in the house. He groaned loudly slamming the door. I jumped and so did Tia.

"Nicholas!"

"The fuck they gon' do?! They gonna take all year and shit to find out some fucking clues. You know what.. I'm not doing this.." He said storming upstairs. I frowned following him and laid Tia in her crib that Nicholas had for her for when she comes over. We even got her, her own little bedroom.

"Nic what are you doing?" I asked as I closed Tia's door a little leaving a crack in it and then walked in the bedroom seeing him sitting on the bed with his head in his hands. "Hey.." I said touching his shoulder.

"Ima kill him.." He said. "I swear Cassandra , Ima kill him!" He yelled jumping up and started punching the air. I grabbed him pulling him down back to the bed and held him in my arms as he cried. "They tried to kill me man.." He sobbed.

I sighed rubbing his back. I feel betrayed and hurt by Jacquees and whoever else is involved with this bullshit.

"I understand that but we can't keep thinking about this. The cops are -"

"FUCK THE COPS! THEY AREN'T GOING TO DO SHIT CASSANDRA! YOU KNOW HOW MAMY FUCKING CASES THEY HAVE TO COVER BEFORE TRYING TO HELP US?! THIS DON'T MEAN SHIT TO THEM!" He yelled.

I sat back to the wall looking at the bed.

"You don't have to yell at me!" I yelled back looking at him then at the door.

He sighed. "Baby I'm -"

"No Nicholas. I don't fucking care," I said before walking out the bedroom. I dont have time for his bullshit.

When he cools down and acts more mature, then I'll talk to him. Until then, he can take that attitude somewhere else.

Nicholas :

I didn't mean to yell at Cassandra but shit. When you got niggas shooting at you and shit, bookuu shit is going through your mind.

I'm gonna get these motherfuckers back. Especially Jacquees. I can't wait to see his fucking ass next time.

Next time as in the time he drops Aiden back home. Gon' have a good ass whoopin waiting for him and Jarvis duck ass. He can get it too.
