A Month Later..

Laying Malaya in her crib, I kissed her forehead.

"Mommy loves you." I whispered and turned on the baby monitor and the camera above her crib. I walked out the room walking downstairs and Nicholas was sleeping with Aiden ontop of him sleep as well.

Those two had a pretty long day. Nic took Aiden out for the day and they came back sticky from candy and tired.

I picked Aiden up and he whined. I sighed carrying him to his room laying him in his race car bed. I tucked him under the covers and walked out the bedroom.

I went back downstairs shaking Nicholas waking him up. "Nic come on, go get in the bed!" I said and he groaned.

"Come with me.." He said.

"I'll come walk with you but I'm not staying. Gabby's coming over and I need my girl time. Come on." I said hitting his leg. He drug himself up and we walked to the bedroom. I helped him in the bed as I was turning around, he pulled me in the bed.

"Stayyyyy," He slurred. I laughed.

"Babe stop. I told you Gabby was -"

Ding Dong!

London started barking and I cursed a little under my breath. Her big asd mouth be waking my baby sometimes. I opened the door and Gabrielle walked in with 2 daquaires.

"Ouuu, you looked out for me this timee!!" She laughef handing me my cup and I closed the door as she walked in.

"It's so ... quiet. What's going on?"

I shook my head walking to the backyard.

"Everyone's sleeping. Including Nicholas. I just need someone to talk to since Bev isn't in town. You know with her being with Lance and all, I barely see her." I said shrugging feeling a little salty.

I miss my best friend but ever since she got with Lance, she's been distant. I'm not jealous or anything of him because I'm actually happy for my bestfriend. He's a sweet open person made just fot Beverley.

"So, where's Trinity?" I asked as we sat on the couch in the backyard.

"With Kingston visiting his auntie." She answered. "Figured she have a daddy-daughter day."

"Yeah that's what Aiden and Nic had today. Even though Nic's not his real dad. He understands and he loves Nic like he's his dad when he's with us. No jealously or anything. Even though he still has more love for Jacquees."

"Hmm, speaking of Jacquees.." she looked back in the house then turned back to me. "Did you get the DNA test?" She whispered and I shook my hewd.

"Not yet .. I'm scared."

"Cassandra you need to hurry before times runs out and someone opens their mouth."

"I know, I know. He's pressuring me about it too. I just don't know how I'm going to explain it to Nicolas. He's so happy with her and their connection is amazing. I don't want to ruin that." I said tearing up a little. Gabby got up sitting next to me and rubbed my back.

"Baby don't cry. Listen if you just explain it to him over dinner maybe or something, it'll be better. Don't wait until the last months because then he'll be even more hurt and upset. Just let him know that you guys wasn't together during the time." She explained.

I looked away wiping my eyes.

"I'll try .." I said. "I have a positive feeling that he's for Nicholas though. She looks just like him and his grandmother." I explained.

"Awee, how cutee." She cooed and I laughed nodding.

I really don't want to hurt Nic but Gabby is right. I should tell him and just get it over with. Every time I look at Malaya, I think about Jacquees possibly being the father to Malaya.

Hoping she's not, I guess I'll just have to pray.

I just hope Nic doesn't have a attitude when I tell him everything and explain to him that we weren't really together.
