"Luke, where are you?" Annie shouted through the apartment.

"We're here." Ronald answered when Lucas groaned. He was going to be treated like a baby. Annie tended to do that when Lucas wasn't okay.

Annie burst into the room, looking at the two men inside. She sighed in relief when she saw that Lucas had woken up, even though he looked paler than usual. "Superstar, what happened?" she asked as she sat next to Lucas on the bed. She examined his face carefully.

"Nothing." Lucas lied. If he told Annie what had exactly happened then he was on for a long lecture which he wasn't too fond of.

Annie glared at him. "Don't 'nothing' me." She demanded. "I know something has happened, so either tell me yourself or I'm going to make you myself." Lucas knew better than not to take her threat seriously so he decided to tell her, an edited version that is.

"Okay, I'll tell you." he sighed. "But promise you won't freak out." Annie rolled her eyes. Lucas shot her a glare. "Promise me Annie or I won't tell you." he warned.

The purple head took a deep breath and grumbled. "I promise."

"Good. So... what happened earlier was actually kind of funny." Lucas chuckled awkwardly. He hated lying to Annie. "Uhm... I was coming to your apartment and was inside the elevator. And guess what happened, the lights went off. I panicked and then I don't remember anything else." He finished his lies. He wanted to hi five himself for being so calm and making up that story in just a couple of minutes.

Annie looked at him intently while the young man in front of her tried to hold off her eyes. She turned to the other person in the room. Ronald knew what she was going to ask before she did. In the only few days he knew her, Ronald understood Annie wasn't someone to buy lies so easily. So, he couraged himself to go on with the made up story.

"I found him passed out on the elevator." he said. He hoped that would work and Annie wouldn't find out what had really happened. Ronald could see just from her worried expression and her reaction the other day when Lucas had passed out, Annie was in love with the young man. Even a blind person could see it, but apparently Lucas was an exception. For some reason he was oblivious to her love for him.

"And what were you doing in the elevator?" Annie asked, arching her eyebrow. Both men felt as if they were on interrogation.

"I... er... I wanted to have a walk outside." that seemed believable to Annie. The poor guy stayed twenty four/seven inside her apartment and he needed to get out some time.

Annie nodded her head. "Fine, I believe you, but if I find out you have been lying... "

"I got a news for you." Annie told Lucas. They were currently on Annie's living room, two hours after she had come home. After she had made sure Lucas was okay and demanded to know what exactly had happened, she cooked some lunch for the three of them.

Lucas cringed at the barely cooked steak and then pushed the plate away. There was no way in the world he was going to put that thing on his mouth. For someone who liked their meat rare, that would be delicious, but last time he checked, he wasn't a vampire. "Hope it's better than this steak." Lucas grumbled.

"Excuse me!" Annie retorted offended.

Lucas rolled his eyes. "Just tell me the news Annie or do I have to get all bossy with you. You are my employee after all."

"Hardy har har." Annie faked a laugh. "Would you now?"

"Annie!"

"Fine, jeez." and Annie started telling him the wonderful news, or at least she thought so.
