I hear a lot of people talk badly about school, and how they're mad because their care takers made them go to school. And I get it. Sometimes it's so difficult to wake up early in the morning, be productive, and then go to school only to find that all of your classes seem out-of-this-world boring. What I don't understand is some students' perspective. Let me give you an example: You're on the bus going home. Everyone just got their report cards. You look at yours to see that you're on the honor roll and doing very well in your classes. You whisper quietly to yourself a tiny little "Yes!" Then, the person in front of you says loudly, "Yes! I got a D!" First, the entire bus doesn't need to know that. Second, a D is better than an F, but it's still not a good grade! You should look at it and think to yourself that you need to work harder, not celebrate on a bus that you aren't doing too well in school. Heck, even share it with a friend, but not to the entire bus! Because news flash: You get four scenarios: 1:The bus starts laughing at you 2: People pity you 3: People start bragging to you about their good grades, or 4: Literally nobody cares. And you know what else I see? I see people blaming the teachers for their bad grades. And sometimes, that may be the case, but if you ever get a bad grade, It's either the teacher's fault for not helping you if you asked for help, or was contradicting themselves from last class, or were going too fast for you, but most likely, a bad grade is your own fault nobody else's. Did you study for these tests? Did you ask questions? Did you understand the material? If you didn't, did you stay after school? Did you take notes? And most importantly, Did you work your hardest? People slack off and then are surprised when they get a poor grade. Sometimes, they are just used to bad grades so they never care to improve. But school is important. We're even lucky enough to go to school! We get to learn about things we never knew before and we can use them in our future (even though sometimes you don't). I have people in my class that say they want to go to Harvard, but are distractions in the class and never listens. I have people that say they are angry because they wanted to sleep in this morning and their guardians forced them to go to school. To go to Harvard, you work hard and pay attention. And you shouldn't be angry because when you're done with school, you have to get a job. Jobs will usually have you waking up early in the morning. It is a privilege to go to school, and it's a shame that some people don't realize that. And if you do, thank you, for understanding that there is more to school than just boring information and waking up early.
Thank you, and have a great day!
