She wasn't like a normal girl,
Her beauty hidden in a shell of arrogance like a pearl.
Rants, gossips, blushes weren't her cup of tea,
Her darkened aura made people call her banshee.
She held cigarettes like it is an extension of her slender fingers,
The palpable smell of liquor in her breath lingers.
She wasn't the beautiful flower to pluck,
But the steady thorn that stuck.
Some feared few hated,
Yet no one saw the new scars created.
Nobody knew about the tornado swirling inside,
She was so calm and serene from the outside.
Embellish were her long strides,
Brown hair like the wave of tides.
A secret was her history,
Her eyes held the mystery.
She was waiting to be resolved,
A puzzle wanting to be solved.
