Chapter 5

~Marcus POV~

While Ellie was helping me with my football, Martinus got a goal and acting like a child. Ellie immediately stopped helping me and ran over to Martinus and gave him a hug. While Martimus and Ellie were hugging a took a quick photo, because they would want that later in life. I could tell they both had a little crush on each other. When Mr. Baker asked if we wanted to have dinner I said yes, so Martinus could spend more time with Ellie.

~Ellie POV~

When Marcus said they are having dinner here I was immediately happy to spend more time with Martinus. Then Martinus spoke up and said

Martinus- What did your Dad mean by a high-contact sport?

I started walking towards him and said

Ellie- You'll find out once you play the game with me.

I said to him walking past him, patting his back and giving him a cheeky grin. I grabbed the football and started walking back inside and gestured towards the boys to come follow me. The boys stayed walking behind me while I went up towards my bedroom to put the footballs down.

Dad- Kid's dinner is ready.

Ellie- Coming Dad

We all walked downstairs, towards the kitchen with Martinus right behind me and Marcus behind him. Once we got to the kitchen Dad sat at the head of the table, I sat on the right of him, Martinus sat next to me and Marcus sat on the left of Dad.

Dad- So how are you liking football boys. El is the best of her age you will ever meet.

Martinus- I am really enjoying playing football and Ellie is an excellent teacher.

When Martinus said he gave me a heart melting smile that made me blush immediately, I'm 99.99% sure I look like Rudolph's nose at the moment. While we were having dinner Dad and the boys all talked together they talked about soccer, football and what they like doing. While I just sat there listening to the there conversation. After we finished dinner they boys said they had to go home, I walked them both towards the door and said

Ellie- Thanks for coming guys, I had fun

Marcus- Thanks for teaching us football

Martinus- Yea, thanks for everything today

Marcus and Martinus started walking out the door the Martinus turned around and gave me a hug, at for a couple of seconds I was tense since I was surprised when I started to ease into it. While we were hugging Martinus made me feel safe and protected, he also smelt the vanilla it could smell him all day.

After a few minutes we said goodnight then they walked off. I walked up to my room and watched the 2016 AFL grand final on my laptop, after I finished watching it I started to doze off having a smile on my face remembering everything that has happened today.
