Chapter VIII: Halloween and The House Party

In Oakridge, plenty of high schoolers who originally planned to throw a bonfire suggested the idea that they throw a huge Halloween house party in honor of Brian and Coach Smith, but in reality it was to celebrate the fact that they won't have school for a while, and it just happens to be Halloween tomorrow. On social media the news of the house party had spread all around town, many of the guys were trying to get Joy to join the party, but every call they made to her failed, it didn't even ring it just went straight to voice mail, a few guys thirsty for Joy to be at the party attempted to drive by her neighborhood but when they got to Joy's street it was blocked off by a barricade and cop cars. Many of the girls tried calling Jamie and Joy but they failed, the teens decided to have the party without them.

Kyra, a popular girl herself, was always invited to parties but never went, she never wanted to focus on parties or drugs she always stayed focus on her education. But her group of friends Macy, Tanya and Natalia persuaded her to go out, the girls were at Tanya house preparing for the party, the three girls changed in the same room while Kyra changed in the bathroom, looking in the mirror thinking to herself if she should just leave now. Kyra knew about D Train being found dead, she knew about the disappearance of variable and she knew about Brian and Coach Smith, all of these murders and disappearances made her concerned that everyone just wanted to party. Kyra was an AP student and loved psychology. She made a theory that the teens were only partying so they can escape the terror and the sad truth. She wrote in her yellow starred notebook, she planned on going to the party to retrieve data for her theory. While her friends dressed like hoes, with black leggings showing they're bright orange and red thongs, with see through tank tops, Kyra chose to wear a yellow hoodie and black joggers with Jordan 8's her favorite retros. Once Kyra came out of the bathroom her friends laughed at the outfit she chose to wear. Kyra ignored their reactions, she was the prettiest girl in school not for how she dressed but her facial features, she was light skin with innocent blue eyes that would convince the devil himself to return to heaven, she had some freckles but not a lot to the point where it was disgusting, and her teeth she had braces before back when her teeth was crooked, now her straight white teeth presents her beautiful smile. Kyra relatively was a positive person; she always hung out with the wrong crowd by default, that's her social class; hanging with the popular kids who smoke and drink, while she would prefer to hang out with nerds and talk about psychology and why people do the things they do, or if aliens exists or what drove a serial killer to do his actions, she would rather be in the chess club after school than be in dance, she hated dance the girls there acted like complete sluts, only a few girls danced innocently, but the rest was always trying there hardest to twerk at every school event they performed at, giving the dance team a reputation for being bigger sluts than the attention craving cheerleaders.

"Uh bad news girls!" Tanya says. "I got a text from the group-chat and Justin said that it's now a Halloween theme costume party!"

"We don't have costumes!" Natalia cries.

"We can easily do our makeup and blend it and be like uh zombies yeah we can be zombie babes!" Macy says.

"I'm not dressing up." Kyra says quietly.

"Why not! It's officially halloween! It's like uhh what time is it?" Macy asks.

"It is now ahh it is uhh?" Natalia struggles to read the numbers from her phone.

"It's fucking 1:20 am! The party starts at 1:30 we're gonna be late!!" Tanya shouts looking angry.

"I don't care I'm not dressing up you guys can." Kyra sits on the bed looking through her notebook.

"Ok fine ladies what should we do?? I think my brother has some masks in his room and some fake blood? We can do that quickly." Tanya suggests, but before the other girls can answer she runs off to her brother room, the other girls look at Kyra, they all shrug their shoulders. Tanya returns with three masks.
