"TIME FOR SCHOOL!" I hear my stepdad yell from the kitchen. I groan and roll over, falling off the bed, but hitting something soft. I squint, opening my eyes revealing a blurred version of my room, but after a few blinks it clears a little. Fuck, first day at my new school. I look around and see I landed on a few pillows. I must have shoved them off last night. I get up and have to hold onto a wall so I don't lose my balance, holy shit I don't function upright this early. I feel the tiredness pull at me but I push through and grab some blue t-shirt and black skinny-jeans.

"KELLIN LETS FUCKING GO!" Kailey, my sister, yells angrily from down the hall. I hear my mom say something about language and how she shouldn't talk to me like that. Meh, I couldn't care less. After spending the last few years with my dad, I'm used to the cursing and angriness. My sister yells at me again so I finally grab my phone and bag and we're out the door.

We get to school and it's a lot bigger than I thought it would be, I guess San Diego is a popular place. Kailey immediately runs off and talks to some girls she met a few days ago. I trot off into the school, honestly I just want to focus on grades. So I don't really need to meet friends. Although, I can't promise to hold back on flirtation. My instinct is always to hit on anything with a pulse. That's my problem, I get bugged constantly at my lack of filter when it comes to thoughts.

I find the locker that corresponds with the number written on my 'welcome to school' page and start turning the lock. I pull it open and don't even get to put a book in before some douche walks by and slams the door in my face, what's his problem?

"You're blocking my locker," he states rudely.

"Sorry for paining you with my existence," I spat at him, I just can't stand it when people are rude. The nameless guy has short black hair, very pale skin, and a lip piercing. He's wearing a black jean jacket and dark blue jeans. The boy ignored me and flings his locker door open crashing it into mine. I roll my eyes and huffed blowing my bangs up in the air.

"Oh I'm sorry, am I making you wait?" he asks, the question dripping with sarcasm. He slams his locker shut, not taking his eyes off mine; which have been narrowed the entire time. I open my mouth to answer but he just walked away. What an ass. I make a mental note to avoid him as I walk to my first class, history. I trudge in a random direction hoping to find it.

"Sorry man!" some kid laughs bumping into me after leaving the bathroom, he has long dark brown hair that's shaved down the sides, very tall and wearing a loose black muscle shirt. Definitely hispanic.

"That band is rad!" I exclaim pointing at the symbol on his shirt. He looked down then back up to me with an excited look on his face. "You like Linkin Park?" he asks excitedly. I nod and he reaches out his fist for me to bump. "Dude, I got to head to class, but find me at lunch! I'll be by the vending machines at the caf," he says. "I'm Mike by the way," he adds and leaves, rolling silently on a skateboard I didn't even notice was in his hand. I look across the hall and finally spot room 179, my history room.

I then make my way to chemistry, this class is gonna suck. At least we don't do anything on the first day. Then it hits me, literally, the boy I saw earlier is in my class. As soon as I walked in the room the mystery boy dumped the garbage can on some geeks head, then threw the garbage can and it just happened to hit me. Although he doesn't even glance in my direction. Everyone else in the class just minds their own business. I decide they know best and to just do the same. So, I walk over and just sit in a seat at the back, in the corner. The teacher walks in and everyone hushes and sits down.

"Andy, you're wanted in the office," the teacher says walking to her desk. There were some 'Oo's but the mystery boy got up and walked out the door, I guess he's Andy.
