"Vic." I say carefully. "Did you actually say 'jack squat' while arguing." I snort quietly.
Silence.
All I hear on the other side is silence.
"Vic?" I ask, confused. "VIC!?" I scream, worriedly banging on the door in my sitting position.
"I'm not mad at Mike." He says quietly. "So go do your little messaging owl thing and fly away."
"Vic, that's not what this is about." I admit. He doesn't answer me and after a few minutes of silence, I walk away. Back down to Mike.
"Well, he's not mad at you." I say.
"He's not?" Mike asks, surprised and confused.
"Nope."
"He's never gotten over it THAT fast before."
I shrug and decide it's best that I keep my mouth shut about Vic being mad at me not him. "I guess he wasn't very mad this time."
"Yeah, I guess so." He says, sounding distant. He comes back to reality with a sudden jerk. "So, pizza tonight?"
"Yeah, yeah of course!"
"Oh and by the way, what did Vic do that related to that peeing dude at the movie theatre?" I ask, finally releasing that building curiosity.
"OH YEAH!" Mike shouts excitedly, lowering his voice for the next part. "He totally pissed himself during his first kiss."
"No. Way." I say and burst out laughing, uncontrollably.
"Yup. That's mah brotha. The close replica of my genes." Mike said.
"Oh my god. That's priceless." I squeeze out between huffs.
"I know! The girl told me the next day, he was so embarrassed. Apparently they weren't actually touching other than their faces of course. But after they separated she saw it." Mike says.
"Well at least she didn't get any on her." I say. Thinking of Vic kissing other people doesn't exactly interest me so I decide to picture him kissing me instead, no matter how creepy that sounds.
"How old was he!?" I ask, curiosity spilling out of me tonight.
"I think grade eight. Yeah, yeah it was grade eight." He reminisces.
"Oh my god! He was 14!?" I say, continuing to laugh.
"I know right!" Mike says. I have to cover my mouth so that I don't slobber everywhere.
"Glad you two are having fun." I hear Vic behind me. I whip around and burst out laughing even harder seeing him. I just keep visualizing his pants all wet. Hmm... wet. My thoughts go dirty as I stop laughing and start checking him out. I lean over a little so I can get a better view and he leans down to the look in the fridge drawers. I hear the familiar iPhone keyboard taps and look over to see Mike texting.
"Who ya textin?" I ask, again the curiosity overwhelming me.
"Angela, Michelle, and Sarah J." He says absentmindedly. I roll my eyes and call him a ladies man, getting up and going into the kitchen for a drink.
"Kellin, leave me alone." Vic says when I walk in.
"Whoa sorry. I'm jus-"
"I don't want to hear it." He says.
"Just thirsty." I finish anyway.
"Mhm. I'm sure that's all." He says turning to face me with those shiny eyes.
"Why are you so mad?" I ask.
"Bye, Kellin." He says, ignoring me and turns walking back upstairs.
"Vic!" I yell as he quickly walks away. "Bye." I whisper sadly.
