{A/N: guys.... this is the last chapter and then an epilogue.... I can officially say I'm a bawling mess. I TOLD YOU IT WOULD END AT FOURTY CHAPTERS! Although I am writing a new story, so don't be butts and go read that.}
"I'm too sexy for this shirt. Too sexy for this shirt. So sexy it hurts." Oh shit that's my phone.
"Yeah?"
"Kels." Vic's tired voice comes through the phone; I could listen to that shit all day long. "They know."
"Who? What?" I ask, rubbing my eyes and stretching.
"It's all over twitter." He says.
"That you're... you know."
"Mhm. I don't think I can face them."
"They won't dare hurt you, you're dating one tough nut here." I say. It's true, he's strong and I'm quite quick, we could take em.
"I know, I just... All the attention will be on me."
"All my attention is always on you, you do fine with that." I say.
"But that's you. I want your attention."
"Pretend they're me."
"They're not nearly as hot as you." He says, I can practically hear the smirk on his face.
"Well I already knew that. Just try to ignore them, act like it's no big deal."
"Can I come pick you up? Can we do this together?" He asks, surprisingly his breathing is completely under control.
"Of course." I say.
"Okay, I'll be over in twenty. Love you." He says, sending chills shimmying down my back.
"I love you more." I say, making a kissy sound and hanging up. I get dressed in grey skinnies and a black Anthem Made hoodie, with a grey beanie to top it off. Two days in a row? Ah, whatever. Vic and Mike are the only ones who saw it yesterday.
"Are you nervous?" I ask, hopping into the passenger seat. Surprisingly, Mike isn't in the car.
"Just a little." He says depreciatingly.
"It's okay." I say, taking hand. "I'm here now. We'll share the worry."
"More like you'll start freaking out." He says, pulling into the street. It's true, I have that motherly thing where I absorb everyone's worry and amplify it. I just majorly overthink it I guess.
"Pshhh, you're just jealous."
"Oh yes. Jealous of a worry wart." He snorts, slowing at a stop sign.
"You said it, not me." I say, we both laugh and move on to other topics.
__
"Fuck." Vic breathes, putting the car in park and staring at the school in front of us. I give him a weak smile, and hop out of the car. I sling the bag over my shoulder and hear his door slam. I take it as my cue to make my way to the door. I decide to keep my distance and let him decide what kind of vibe he wants to give off, how he wants to take this news and if he's ready to be an open gay relationship. I don't get more than a few steps before Vic is by my side, taking my hand and standing so close it's as if we're a molecule instead of an atom {A/N: sorry if you don't get that analogy}. I smile and stop him while we pass the last row of cars."What is it?" He asks, confusion written all over his face.
"I just wanted something." I say shrugging. I pull him a little closer.
"What did you want?" He wonders. I put my hand on the back of his neck and pull him down to me; our lips finding the other's. I swear on my life, I saw sparks shooting out from the connection. He smiles into the kiss and uses his free hand to pull me right into him. We stay there for longer than I initially expected, but hey, there's nothing I love more than his lips on mine. We eventually pull back and enter the school. Our peers couldn't have made it more obvious, it was as if someone died or something. Practically half the school would nudge their neighbours and point or whisper something, looking right at us. I try to ignore it and avoid their glare, but I did catch at few people's eyes. By the time we reach Vic's locker, which happens to be closer to the door than mine, he's shaking like crazy next to me, his breathing becoming more and more erratic.
