The temperature outside had definitely dropped in the last couple of days and it became darker faster now. Warmer clothes was to be written down on my list for things I need before christmas.

When I came home from my meeting with Charlotte the time was already past seven and I had missed dinner. While my parents sat and watched TV I went and opened the fridge to find and reheat the leftovers from what they had already eaten an hour before. 

I sat down and began eating my food as I watched what they were watching on TV, a show called Running Man. I supposed that it had just begun since they talked about who they thought would come as guests. Later one by one the guests entered and for some reason I wasn't really surprised when Daniel danced in on set.
But the food didn't last long enough for me to have a reason to stay and watch.

I walked up to my room and stayed there for the rest of the evening.

The next morning I woke up early because I had school to get to. I felt relieved knowing I would have that to think about this day.

More than half of the students in class already sat by their desks, either talking to seat neighbors or doing homework. When I walked inside and past the others I saw Rayeon waving happily at me. She didn't look devistated anymore, as I had expected of course, since that was days ago.

"Hey." I greeted and sat down behind her. She wore a relaxed smile and had her books ready on her desk for the lesson to begin. "Anything intresting lately?" She asked to start a conversation.

I dug through my bag for my own textbook while thinking of an answer. "Hmm..Well I met my aunt." I said but didn't feel like sharing more with her.
Rayeon nodded her head slowly and looked down at my hands that were still struggling in one of the pockets. "Are you finding what you're looking for?" She asked and I sighed. "No, I can't seem to find my eraser."
She reached towards her pencil case and gave me one of hers just as the teacher told everyone to pay attention because the lesson had begun.

Several different math problems were written on the board and our job was to solve them in groups of two. Luckily the students were allowed to divide themselves into pairs, so me and Rayeon decided to work together.
I didn't have any problem with math but Rayeon had a more difficult time and often asked me to explain in a way she would understand better.

After a while we worked steady and instead of remaining silent I decided to ask what I had wanted to the whole morning.
"So.."I began to get her attention. "Have you spoken to Seongwu yet?"
I saw her flinch in her chair but otherwise she replied calmly. "Yes."
Not that that satisfied my curiosity.

I waited a moment because she clearly didn't want to talk about it, but then asked again. "What did he say?" immediatly as I finished my sentence she stopped writing the number 5 in her notes and looked up at me who she seemed to now find a bit annoying. "We didn't talk for long." She said and turned backwards to see if the teacher would notice us talking more than doing our work.

When the coast was clear she turned back to me and instead of speaking in normal tone she whispered to not be heard by anyone but me.
"He told me that it would be for the best if we took a break. It would cause trouble for both of us." Of course she didn't sound happy but neither was she heartbroken. "But only while he works right? You'll get back together afterwards?" I asked and remembered the first time she told me that they were a couple and I actually didn't believe it at first until I asked Daniel one time. Since then I was shocked but then again amused for such a coincidence to happen.

"He didn't say." She said and returned to read the next problem on the board behind her. "What do you mean he didn't say?!" I raised my voiced a bit from whispering and she shushed me. "I just didn't ask. But I believe in him." She finished and when I was about to ask something else she stopped me and there was where that topic ended.

But I could see that she wasn't as worried anymore. It felt good to know that at least one of us was relaxed now.

The rest of the school day continued on as normal and when it was over me and Rayeon accompanied each other home.
When we reached her house I waved her goodbye as she entered her home and then I continued the few meters to my own.

When I was standing on my doorstep the frontdoor to the other house next to mine flew open and out stomped a shorter lady. It was Daniels mother. I heard her mumble to herself and she didn't seem too joyful. I couldn't help but want to ask what was wrong so I walked up to the fence between our houses and called her name.
"Hello mrs Kang." I said and bowed descreetly. "Is everything alright?" She turned to me and right as she saw me her worried expression changed into a mothers smile. The same as I always had seen her with when I met her. But even though she smiled, her eyes still showed worry.
"Oh hello dear! Nothing to worry about." She said and walked up to me.

I was 165cm tall and she was only around 155cm, so it was a bit odd to have her standing right in front of me and to look down on her. "Are you sure? If there's anything wrong then I would gladly help." I told her and offered my services.
"You are too sweet!" She said and pinched my cheek. "But it's nothing you need to involve yourself in." She continued and told me to go inside and enjoy the rest of my day.

I felt that something was wrong but I did as she said and when I had opened the door halfway she shouted. "Actually!" And I stopped and turned around. "Would you mind working part time?" She asked.
