One day, you were walking home from your classes that day. Once you got home, you noticed that someone was sitting down inside your coffee shop. Out of curiosity, you opened the door not think that the person inside could be some robber. When you opened the door, the person turned around to look at you.
As soon as they turned around you turned away, only able to catch a glimpse of what they looked like. It was a man. He didn't look too much older than you, maybe two or three years. You then looked back at him, he had his back turned to you again.
'Jeez, he really does not want to talk to me does he,' you thought, 'maybe if I just ignore him, he will leave.' That's what you decided to do, you were just going to go about your normal day, not talking to him or looking at him.
You then walked up the stairs and put your things away. Once you had put it all away, you came back down the stairs to see that the man was still there. You heard him let out a sigh when you passed him and walked to flip the sign to open at the front of my shop.
Today was just like any other day, (b/n) even came over and helped me out a bit. The only thing that was different was that the men was still here, sitting in the same spot, you were pretty sure that he was sleeping now. Every now and then, you would sneak a look at him. You also made sure not to let anyone sit by him because you thought that they might wake him up.
It was about time for you to close up when you realized that (b/n) hadn't even looked at the man that was there, she didn't even ask about him.
(b/n) had just left and you were about to flip the sign, but then you decided that it was about time to talk to the man. You walked over to him and tapped his shoulder causing him to look up at you.
"Sir, the shop is closing now," you said with a smile.
"You...can see me?" he asked.
"Of course I can, I'm not blind," you answered.
"I know, it's just that...never mind," he said shaking his head.
"What is it," you asked.
"Nothing, it doesn't matter," he said.
"Okay, if you don't want to talk about it then don't," you said, "but like I said, the shop is closing now, so you might want to head home." You then turned around and started to clean the last of the dishes that were left from earlier.
You only washed two dishes before you looked and saw that he was still sitting in the chair. "Sir, you are going to have to leave now," you said once again. All he did was turn away from you. "Wait, don't tell me, you don't have a home," you said walking over to him.
"I guess you could say that," he said.
"You can stay here if you want," you said.
"Really?" he asked.
"Of course you can," you said, "but there is one condition."
"What is it?" he asked.
"What is your name?" you asked.
"Seungjun," he answered.
'Seungjun, why does that sound so familiar?' you asked yourself. "Well, it's nice to meet you, I'm (y/n)," you introduced yourself.
"It's nice to meet you too," Seungjun said standing up.
"I have a spare bedroom upstairs if you want to stay there for the night," you explained.
"Thank you," Seungjun said.
"Here, I'll show you the extra room," you said motioning for Seungjun to follow you.
He nodded and followed you up the stairs. You then pointed to a room with a closed door.
*flashback*
"Are you sure you want to live here?" (b/n) asked you, "People say that it's haunted."
"It's only that room they say is haunted, so I should be fine," you said pointing to the room that had it's door closed, "who was it that they said haunted this place again."
"I don't remember, but I'll tell you if I do remember," (b/n) explained, "apparently, he committed suicide in that room and no one found out about it for five days."
"Really?" you asked, "No one found him for five days?"
"Well, no one lived with him and he didn't go to any school at the time, so no one even knew he was dead," (b/n) said.
"Then how did they find him if they didn't know he was dead," you asked.
"He had a neighbor that was coming to visit him, he then found the body," (b/n) said.
"I don't care about some ghost story, ghosts aren't even real," you shrugged.
"Well, don't blame me if this place is actually haunted and you get murdered," (b/n) said.
"Haha, very funny," you said sarcastically, "so are you going to help me unpack or not."
*end flashback*
"Um, I don't mean to be rude, but I'd prefer not to sleep in that room. Do you have a couch that I could sleep on instead?" Seungjun asked.
"Of course I have a couch you can sleep on," you said, "it's right there."
"Thank you," Seungjun said.
"Oh, no problem, I get it a lot, not a lot of people want to sleep in that room," you said.
"Is there a certain reason for that?" Seungjun asked.
"Huh?" you asked confused.
"I mean, why doesn't a lot of people want to stay in that room?" Seungjun said rephrasing the question.
"Oh, yeah, it's because people believe that it's 'haunted' by some ghost," you explained.
"Really?" Seungjun asked.
"That's what people say, but I don't believe in ghosts," you said, "well, I'll go grab you some blankets and a pillow."
"I just can't thank you enough, I've never had someone be so nice to me before," Seungjun said sadly, "no one has ever cared about me, or even took notice of me. I've never been loved."
"I know it may seem like that, but there is always someone that loves you," you said finding a blanket and pillow, "you just might not know it yet. Anyway, is that why you asked me if I could see you earlier?"
"Yeah," Seungjun said, "no one ever wants to talk to me."
"Well, that's just rude of them," you said, "no one deserves to be treated that way."
"I wish I had a friend like you back then," he mumbled.
"What was that?" you asked.
"Oh, nothing, I was just talking to my self," he said.
"I see," you said, "well, here is the blanket and pillow for you." You then handed the blanket and pillow to him.
Seungjun smiled and took them from your hand. "Good night," he said as he walked over to the couch.
"Night," you said with a yawn, "see you in the morning."
"Yeah," Seungjun said.
