A/N: I got this chapter rewritten. Of course it's not the same, but it'll have to do. I am also working on some of my other fanfics in the meantime and am going to publish some previews for them. I already have some of them written, so I might publish them later today or sometime soon. Anyway. Enjoy!
The rest of the week went smoothly for you, sure you had some homework from classes and Noah finally joined your classes, but other than that, it was normal. Ethan worked every other day, saving him some time to hang out with his "friend." You were pretty sure that this "friend" was more than a friend. Ethan had mentioned several times someone that he was interested in, you didn't have a name, but they seemed like they were a nice. Noah and Nathan had even offered to volunteer to help, but you insisted that it would be fine, for now. Someday you might take them up on their offer.
Seungjun had also helped out this week, but he wasn't there to help everyday, but the days he was there, you noticed how he was becoming kind of distant. You thought that it was because you were mostly gone all day at school and Ethan couldn't really talk to him while they were working. Sure Ethan threw out a couple of comments here and there, but he couldn't here what Seungjun had to say about his comments.
You had started to feel a little bad for Seungjun as the week ended, so you decided that you should spend some time with him on Saturday when you didn't have classes and would have some free time to talk with him. Ethan worked on Saturdays, but he always came in about an hour after opening and left about four hours before closing for dinner with his special someone. Customers on Saturday were also very spread out, which left you with more than enough time to speak with Seungjun about why he was separating himself from everyone else.
As the morning of Saturday came, you opened up shop, like usual. There wasn't usually a line in the mornings on Saturday, so no one came in at first. You sat down for a little bit as you waited for someone to finally come in.
As you sat, you heard Seungjun start coming down the stairs. You turned towards him, greeting him with a smile. "Good morning Seungjun," you greeted.
"Good morning," he replied. "Has no one come in yet?"
"Nope," you answered, "but I did want to talk to you about something."
"Oh? What is it?" he asked.
"It's just, I feel like you are slowly talking less to me," you explained, "I want to know if there is anything wrong. Why are you taking yourself away from me. Your just like a cat that separates itself from its owner."
"Have I?" Seungjun asked, confused about his own behavior.
"Yeah," you nodded.
"Guess it's just a habit of mine," he said jokingly, "I've never really had friends before, so it's strange to me." He smiled brightly and laughed his strange yet cute laugh.
You couldn't help but smile, even though what he said was rather sad. His precious smile and laugh made you feel really strange, but a good kind of strange. How could he not have any friends in his past life. He is too cute and super sweet as well.
"Well, you should start getting used to it because I'll always be with you," you reassured him.
"That is until you fall in love," Seungjun added sadly.
"I already told you that I wasn't going to fall in love if it means that I won't be able to see you anymore," you said.
"What about the rest of your life, you can live it out to the fullest," Seungjun said.
"Well I don't want to live my life to the fullest if I can't spend my life with you!" you basically yelled at him.
Seungjun widened his eyes at your eyes, then he turned to the ground, "So I was right, you are in love, well, starting to fall in love."
"What are you talking about, I can still see you," you replied.
"Maybe, but this could be different," Seungjun said.
"How is this different?" you asked, "The answer is simple. I'm not actually in love with anyone."
"That's not it," Seungjun said, "you just haven't realized that you are in love yet."
"What makes you even think I'm in love? I promised I wouldn't, so I won't. Can't you understand that?" you argued.
"You know what, never mind," Seungjun said waving his hand, "I'm sure customers are going to be coming soon. And Ethan too, he'll be here soon. We can talk about it later."
"Alright, fine," you pouted, not ready to give up your point of the argument just yet, "later."
Seungjun smiled at your agreement and walked off to the back of the shop, ready to prepare people's orders for the day.
As you got behind the cash register, you couldn't help but think about what Seungjun had said. Me in love? He must be crazy if he thinks that I'm in love with anyone. If I where though, who would I be in love with? Is Seungjun right and I am really in love? But if I where, what would happen to Seungjun? I don't want to leave him like everyone else in his life did.
