Chapter 2- Family

Kruv was shocked. Blue lightning, it showed up again. This was the third time that it has happened now. 

The first time was just a month ago when he suddenly woke up from bed feeling really energized. The first thing thing he saw as he opened his eyes was something blue, he wasn't sure of what it was until just a couple of weeks ago when it happened to him again.

That time he was out hunting. He was eyeing a dark beast rabbit and when he finally arrived behind it, he suddenly felt a chill run up his back. He turned and was about to sidestep when he saw what was coming. 

It was a cheetah, a dark beast cheetah. 'Too fast' he thought at that time. He thought he was going to die again. He couldn't dodge it. He saw its sharp fangs and felt like his life was flashing before his eyes, but this time it was much shorter.

He was able to at the least lean his body to the side before the cheetah was literally a feet in front of him.

He kept his eyes opened wide the whole time and then, blue lightning. He saw it at that time. Blue lighting covering his body and the next thing thing he knew was that he was far away that the cheetah or the rabbit wasn't even anywhere in sight anymore.

He was astonished at what had happened at that time and was left speechless. He hasn't told anyone yet as it might be too weird.

Kruv sighed as he got up from the ground and recovered from the shock he had just received. 

'This time its in my eyes, huh." 

Kruv picked up his clothes and wore them. He then looked at his reflection in the water again to check if it was still there. It wasn't there anymore. He felt relieved and started going back home.

Their home was in the forest yet it wasn't those kind of homes that were small and crude. In fact, their home was actually really big. It was made out of this kind of stone that Kruv hasn't seen before. It was black and had a glossy look and texture.

It was only a 1 story home yet it had 8 bedrooms in total. Other than the bedrooms, there was also a living room, a kitchen, dining area, an office, plus a large training field at the innermost part.

The training field was an indoor one, kind of similar to where Kruv trained in his past life. It was a square room and was surrounded by white walls. Every time Kruv trained there with either his father or uncles, he noticed they would place this thing, something like crystal balls which had different colors. They would put it at the four corners of the room.

He also noticed that when the crystal was red, it would be really hot. When it was blue, it was extremely cold and with a green one, he'd find it hard hard to move as though wind was pushing from conflicting direction which makes him stay in place.

Kruv went inside the house house and what greeted him were two other kids who appeared to be a year or two younger than him.

"Welcome home, big brother!" The two shouted

These were Kruv's younger siblings. A boy and a girl who are twins. Normally, regarding something like that lightning, Kruv would be excited and not really worry or fear about anything just as he was in his past life but in this life he can't do that.

In this life he has family; a father, two siblings, two uncles, and also his uncle Oved's wife who did the things men didn't know how to. This was something he never had in his past life.

In his past life, Kruv saw a lot of families, fathers playing with their sons, mothers warning them to be careful all the time. Kruv didn't feel or know the precious feeling of having a family, he was simply curious towards them. Now he does, he loves this family that he has even if it is incomplete without his mother. What he has has right now, he feels, is more than what he has ever asked for.

Seeing the smiles of his siblings as they waited for the every day hunting story that he would always tell them, Kruv felt happy. Amidst that happiness though is also a little sadness.

In his past life, in that last battle, they were surrounded by enemies 5:1. Kruv knows it wasn't his fault and he hasn't taught about it that much before, yet now he does blame himself a little bit. Those soldiers were in his watch and they got wiped out. 

People die in war, perhaps those soldiers knew they were going to die but their wife, kids or friends waiting for them to come back didn't. Carrying all that death, sadness is heavy especially now that Kruv knows the significance and preciousness of family.

Kruv slightly smiled and hugged his siblings "I'll tell both of you how it went down today as we eat, okay?"
