Today was one of the few days Kiitan had the room to herself, it was a Sunday. She entered her room with her agege bread in a black nylon, closed the door behind and made to make tea. Bread and tea was breakfast for her that morning. She called home to know about her sister's welfare and was relieved to know she was now improving. The sense of guilt she was feeling earlier about her reaction to the matter was now washed away.
Her room or rather their room since she shared it with three other people was quite spacious with a dressing table, book shelf on which books were stacked neatly, shoe rack and reading table upon which the girl's makeup and jewelry kits were kept.
Though her room was conducive, it was nothing compared to St Isabelle's girls hostel where the "posh" ones stayed. Kiitan hoped that one day before she left this campus she would live in that hostel too.
By that time, money would have arrived
The room's occupants were her,Nabilah, Sophie and Michelle. The last two are close friends who were well involved in the latest fashion styles living off their numerous boyfriends and sugar daddies, attending late night parties but as much as they partied hard, they never missed Church on Sundays which accounts for only her being in the room since Nabilah had left for an Mss programme.
Kiitan had dated a "big boy", Kola in the past. She usually went to his room to cook for him, the way couples do on her campus hoping he will return the favour by spending lavishly on her. It didn't take her long to realise he lived off the big girls he dated and had nothing to offer.
She removed her clothes and put a towel around her ready to take her bath and head to the boutique. It was time to buy the dress.

Nabilah walked around the pavement deep in thought. Only Allah knew where her next meal will come from. She had nothing left on her but she knew the situation at home. Her mum worked as a teacher in a private school which paid not enough to cover her bills. Kameelah, Nabilah's younger sister was now in ss3 which means payment of tuition for the three terms at once hence the reason why Nabilah is without food.
While hoping that her mum will be loaned some money by a close friend, she walked towards the school library after her meeting with other Mss(Muslim students society) members, they were to visit a charity home soon. She began to suspect a black jeep following her closely. She slowed her pace to let the car pass but it stopped in front of her.
"Hey pretty, Uh do you mind showing me around? I'm on my way to the zoo but I got stuck" a man in his late fifties shined his crooked teeth at her. It was evident that he had used a great amount of bleaching cream.
"Its around that corner" she said as she pointed towards the direction "when you get there turn to left then shortly after the bakery turn to right again, then keep going straight"
"Oh come on, I didn't get what you were saying. Why not hop in and show me around, I won't take long I promise"
The voices in her head screamed at her look at him
he's a married man.
Oh come on,its just a harmless reply, who knows he might take you out for lunch .
Maybe this was Allah's way of providing your next lunch.
She agreed with the second voice and entered, soon enough they were at the Zoo . He didn't take too long as promised though she refused to follow him inside and sat in the car.
The ride back was silent. He seemed to be deep in thought. Kiitan sensed this and became nervous.
"I'll alight here sir" She said pointing to the empty volleyball pitch . She chose to get down there so that no one will see her in the car of a married man.
As she proceeded to get down,he collected her number, threw a bale of money on her lap and asked to see her the following Saturday.
Nabilah didn't refuse the second outing, maybe because of her hungry stomach. She took the money and left the car after saying goodbye.
But was this money a blessing or there's more attached to it?
