Chapter Twelve

After Tooke passed out,Sam had managed to help her to her hostel. As they were approaching the room,Murewa,her roommate said
"Why are you wobbling like a pregnant woman?"

"Murewa, please assist me let's carry her to the bed" Sam said

"Omg,what's wrong with her? She was fine this morning."

" She passed out while we were casting" he said as they put her to rest on the bed. "I'll go get her pain reliever"

"I'll come with you so you won't need to come back here again. The hall warden probably let you enter since it was an emergency. Its not visiting hour yet"Murewa said as she wore her slippers.

They made their way downstairs leaving Tooke alone in the room.She couldn't help but think about what Murewa has said.

Why are you wobbling like a pregnant woman.

She knew her friend had said it joking but somehow it had gotten to her. She stood up from the bed with the little energy left in her and picked up the calendar on her table.

She was two weeks late. They had done it two more times after the first one. When she asked him about her being pregnant, he told her he was very careful and it won't lead to pregnancy, except she was cheating on him. Tooke hurt that he thought she could cheat on him after all he was the experienced one so she let him be.

Different thoughts ran through her mind. She couldn't understand what was happening. She wanted to visit a clinic but her father was popular among the nearby clinics and people will wonder what a Pastor's daughter was doing with a pregnancy test.

She made a mental note to visit a faraway chemist shop the next day and buy a pregnancy kit.

Fortunately for Kiitan,the price of the jeweleries had not increased. She gave them to Moyin who has now stopped calling.

Kiitan opened her locker and poured her last garri remaining into a bowl,mixed it.with cold water and groundnut when Michelle came in.

"Babe,I get gist for una o(babe I have gist for you)" she said to Sophie who was on her bed folding cloths.

"Wetin sele?(what happened). Didn't you say you were going to borrow notes from Ebun" Sophie asked clearly confused

"Yes,that's where I'm coming from o.You won't believe what I saw,Ebun and Moyin fought"

"Moyin? Her roommate. Wow its shocking 'cos both of the are really close"

"Relax, make I give you the full gist" Michelle continued. "I don't know what Moyin did o but I met them in a heated argument"

"Stop with this your suspense and let's hear the full thing na" Sophie said. By this time all attention including that of Nabilah and Kiitan were on Michelle.

"Ebun made it known today that all of Moyin's cloths were hand-me-down by her aunt and her jeweleries are fake. Apparently, she has a customer in Balogun market that specializes in imitation"

"Are you serious?" Sophie asked totally shocked

"She pointed to a particular necklace,which by the way we saw on Kiitan the day she went for the Coker's party" she gestured towards Kiitan and both girls burst into a fit of laughter.

It was to much for Kiitan to handle,she dropped her plate of garri and fled from the room.
