Time of death 10:56
Dr Charles stated as he removed the stethoscope from him neck and nurse in charge recorded and proceeded to cover up the body with a white cloth. She will be taken to the mortuary after her parents or guardians show up.
Dr Charles shook his head as he stepped out of the ward. He wondered why a renowned pastor and one of the best medical doctors in the city's daughter would have an abortion, with the a terrible drug at that.
To make matters worse, she had visited a quack, probably out of fear since her father was popular amongst the best hospitals in town. She could have been saved if only she was brought earlier by the gentleman.
But she had lost lot of blood having been bleeding internally for hours before her friends came to her rescue.
Slowly he picked up his phone and began to dial Dr Akinlade's number.

Kiitan stepped into the store, her peep toe pumps clicking on the tiled floor.
"Good morning Aunty" the sales girl,Glory, greeted.
"Morning Glory, how are you today?", Kiitan answered as she stepped in. She was dressed in a blue and white polka dot knee length gown which matching pashmina draped beautifully on her head." Any message for me?"
"No ma"
"Alright" She replied as she straightened the newly baked mouth-watery cupcakes. A woman and her little daughter entered to pick up her order of flavoured bread.
"Mummy,I want this one" the little girl cried pointing to cinnamon rolls
"No,let's go. There's jollof rice at home" her mum countered
Kiitan picked one cinnamon roll, wrapped it in a serviette and handed it to the little girl. She stepped into the cubicle that served as her office and picked up the account book and began to work on it. It had been her ritual everyday whenever she her classes.
After Ope had helped her with tuition. Nabilah received an alert of her school fees from her mother. She had forgotten to tell her about Ope's help. She was getting ready to go to the bank to make a transfer when an idea struck her. She could start a business with the money and refund later.
Without wasting time, she looked around for a vacant shop. Luckily, it was a walkable distance from her campus. She started to make pastries and small chops and because her shop was the closest "pastry maker" to about six areas, demand was high and they struggled to keep up with the orders from both male and female students. In two months, she was able to refund her mum's money with the profit.
After Kiitan had confessed to her mother. She made a promise to get the money back on her own. Kiitan swallowed her pride and offered to work under Nabilah. Surprisingly, Nabilah accepted immediately, not minding the fact that Kiitan was one of those who made jest of her when she first started business.
After making account of the previous day, Kiitan made a silent Dua(prayer) for Nabilah who was now doing her NYSC. Kiitan had to carry over a year because she couldn't pay her school fees on time.
Since Nabilah was serving in the north, she had to be the one running the activities of the shop while they share the profit in equal half. After her Dua ,she rose her head up and saw a familiar figure making order.
Stepping out of her office, Kiitan greeted
"Hi Mayowa" flashing a little smile
"Hey Kiity Kat,it's been a long time"
"Yes,I've been really because running this place. Its not an easy thing o"
" I see" he muttered audibly as he collected his order.
"Really...you should move closer to God. The feeling is comforting"
Mayowa gave a noncommittal shrug. "We'll see about that." Smiling at her,he said "I have to go now, hope to see you sometime huh?"
"Yeah,no problem. Looking forward to see you again" she walked him to the door and whispered to him "God loves you Mayowa" before he could say anything she closed the glass door behind him and walked back to the inner room.
Mayowa watched her go before walking towards the car, he couldn't help but think how people change. Kitan, the shallow and naive, wannabe girl with low self esteem now using Hijab and gained lots of confidence in herself. People do change.
Was that the born again stuff or salvation as they call it? His life needed a change too. He was tired of the parties and his playboy games. They always ended the same way...drinking to stupor, ending up with an hangover the following day while suddenly remembering you had slept with a total stranger the previous night.
A reason for his present predicament.
God loves you Mayowa he started the engine of his car thinking if God actually loves a guy with genital herpes
