It was the third day we'd been at Jackie's and they seemed to be hiding things, Micah have me his phone number so we can text to try to figure out the connections of the blanket, me, and the books.  I'm sure mom was angry with us but for some reason I didn't care just then my cyan blue screen lit up and shook the bed I was lying on,

" Hey it's Micah, again, I was thinking there's this games tonight... You could go with me. But only if you want to... As friends of course"

I rolled my eyes and smiled, grabbing my phone

"Yes that'll be fun😊" he responded almost immediately

" We could also talk about your powers"

"😕"

" Or not..."

"😊👍" I put my head phones on and blasted My Paper Heart by All American Rejects and screamed

"Please just don't play with me My paper heart will bleed
This wait for destiny won't do

Then  Eddie screamed " SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO GET SOME WORK!"

" Whatever!" He walked in my room showing his phone my dad's name as the head line 'Emmet Ploss went Missing this morning shocking thousands' there was more '2016 Emmet disappears police investigate look for answers but it seems like there are none'

" That was a year ago"I said I was confused

" Yeah it was... Mother was trying to hide it from you, me, everyone" I looked at him in puzzlement " she knows something"

" Why?"

" I don't know but I didn't think he's on a business trip."

" How long have you known this"

" A few months" I looked at the time 5:00 the game was starting in 30 minutes

" I gotta go"

" Where?"

" Game."

" Drive?"

" Yep!"

We drove in silents for awhile the sun was shining on the glass window making it hot.

" I'm sorry" Ed started " I should have told you" he shook his head

"It's fine"

"Do you want me to stay?"

"No its okay"

I walked outside Micah was waiting for me and he waved Eddy raised his eyebrow but I waved him off and walked over to Micah. We sat on the cold benches with some of his friends and some of mine well it was just Cas but good enough.

" Why'd you want to go with me?" I asked

" Cuz you're cool"

" Thank you" I laughed

"You're welcome!" He smiled

The game was pretty boring and Micah mostly swore at his friends, we still had not come home and Jackie left for a camp during school for kids who couldn't afforded education, so she was never here but it was Friday so library time yay, I went to the library and read the books, Micah ran over with a black and lime green coloured book just like the other one's but different symbols and a harsher font.

" Can you go into this book?" He asked

" Hmm" I reached my hand in the book breaking the surface but I felt sick my eyes shot from pain closed needles seemed to be injecting poison into my fingers a flash of lime green light went straight across my face then a monster appeared in front of me and started to grab my face I screamed then everything was such black

" Ethel, Ethel please wake up!" My eyes shot open I saw Eddy eyes wide mouth open on shock then Micah a horrified look stamped on his face

" What was that?" Ed asked

" You saw the monster?!" I asked

" No" they both said

" What monster?" Micah asked he was so worried

" That beem of light it shot you so far" Eddy was terrified, I looked around we were a few feet away from where we were before, then darkness invaded my vision and the monster came back but a new darkness swallowed it.

OH I JUST WANT TO BE NORMAL!
