Prom (JG) *SLOW UPDATES*

Ella's POV —two weeks later cuz I'm lazyyy—
"Ella you almost ready?" I hear my mom yell
"Yea almost." I yell back. I quickly do my makeup and add some setting spray and chapstick and then get up and walk to my closet. I throw on my lace up heel boots and then spray some perfume. I check my hair and makeup one more time and then grab my cap and gown and phone. I walk downstairs and grab my keys.
"I'll see you guys later." I say to my family that's resting on the couch in all dressy stuff
"Bye. You look beautiful." My mom says
"Thank you." I say and then walk out and to my car. I put my cap and gown in and then get in and start it and head to my school.

As I arrive I see loads of people. Both students and friends and family. I quickly text the girls that I'm here and then get out and grab my stuff and close my door and lock my car. I make my way to the cafeteria where all the graduates are meeting Togo over some stuff. The graduation on the foot ball field. I wore heels cuz we are walking on the track and a little on the grass then sitting down. I glance down at my phone and see Mimi texted me saying they were by the stage. I quickly make my way over there, saying hi to a few people on the way. Jack still hasn't texted me so I don't know if he's coming or not even if he is, I probably won't be able to see him. Everything will happen so fast and not to mention there's a party after graduation. It's at Bobby Nathins, a football players house.
"Hey!" Savannah says as I finally get to them. I smile and hug all the girls
"I'm so nervous." I say and they laugh and agree.
"Is Jack coming?" Sirala asks. I shrug.
"I'm not sure. I haven't heard from him since like, last week when he texted and asked if I had his crown." I say and laugh. They all shake their heads smiling.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" A teacher yells into the microphone and everyone shuts up and look at the stage.
"Welcome everyone. Today is the day. Give a round of applause for yourselves. Class of 2017!" She says and we all cheer and clap.
"So we are going to have you all line up, alphabetic order which we will tell you guys where to go. Got it?" She asks and we all say yea. The girls and I will be together still due to all of our last names being one after another.

After everyone is in line, I get a text from Jack.
Jacky boy: have fun tonight 😊
So does that mean he's here....or not? I sigh and put my phone in my gown pocket as we start to walk.
"What happened?" Mimi asks
"Nothing. Jack texted me." I say and she nods.
"What he'd say?" She asks
"Have fun tonight. Does that mean he's here or should I not get my hopes up?" I ask as we start to the foot ball field. We stop and Mimi turns around causing the other girls to turn around
"I don't know. Sounds like he's here. But doesn't at the same time." Savannah says
"Were you listening?" I ask laughing. She nods and laughs. My phone dings again and again it's a text from Jack
Jacky boy: what are you wearing?
Another ding
Jacky boy: nevermind that's a stupid question. I'll just look for you.
And then another ding. This time from my mom
Momster: Jack is super sweet! He's a keeper Ella! 😊😉
I laughs nd look at the girls
"He's here. And sitting by my parents." I say and they laugh.
"Good evening family and friends of class of 2017!"

—I'm skipping to when they start calling peeps cuz well, lazy bums here—

I'm next to be called up to get my diploma. I'm nervous as hell.
"Ella Marie Lopez." The dude calls. I bite my lip to try not to smile but ultimately fail and walk up on the thingy. I shake my principles hand, and vice principles and hug one of my teachers and then walk down the front and back to my seat. I sit down next to sirala who was the first of our group to be called and she smiles and hugs me.
"I'm so happyyyy!" She squeals and I laugh. I am too. I can now officially sleep in for as long as I want.

"And now. After a long and waited time, please help me congratulate the class of 2017!" The principle says and everyone erupts with cheers and claps.
"Now students, as a way of passage, you may now change your tassel from right to left." She says and we all do.
"Congratulations!" She yells once more and a bunch of people throw their caps up. I don't cuz I decorated mine. I hug the girls and then we are dismissed to go to our friends and family. The girls and I part ways and I grab my phone. And glance down on it.
Jacky Boy: you looked cute.
I decide to text back
Me: thank you 😊 where are you guys?
I look up and start to scan everyone looking for Jack or my family. I see Christine on my dads shoulders and I make my way to them.
"Ella!" Christine says and I laugh. My mom hugs me and kisses my cheek and my siblings give me hugs too. Lucas walks to me and I pick him up and he kisses my cheek.
"Aww thank you." I say and he smiles.
"Did you say hi to jack?" My mom asks and I shake my head.
"I couldn't find him." I say
"We'll wait in the cafeteria. Text me when you are headed there." She says and I nod. I set Lucas down and hug everyone once more and then they start to walk away. That's when Lindsey comes up to me. I freeze and give her a dirty look.
"I'm sorry." She says and then hugs me like her life depends on it. I laugh and hug her back
"Your fine really." I say and she pulls away
"You look really pretty by the way. Are you going to the party tonight?" She asks and I nod
"Yea." I say and she nods
"I'll see you there." She says and then walks away to what I'm assuming is her family. I then look at my phone.
Jacky boy: my the bleachers.
I quickly make my way to where my parents were sitting and see jack's figure talking to Johnson, who has Savannah next to him. Johnson looks at me and smiles and I smile back. Once I reach them Johnson hugs me and I hug him back
"Congrats." He says and I nod
"Thank you." I say. I look at Jack and he hands me flowers and I laugh
"Thanks." I say and give him a side hug.
"I'm gonna take Johnson to meet my mom. I'll meet you at your house." Savannah says and I nod. Johnson and her walk away. I turn back to jack and smile
"I'm glad you could make it." I say and he smiles
"Wouldn't miss it." He says back
"So I heard you met my parents?" I ask and he nods
"My mom likes you." I say and he laughs
"She was telling me about your childhood." He says and I groan
"That's embarrassing." I say and he laughs
"You seemed like a fun kid." He says
"I wasn't trust me." I say glancing around at all the people still talking and hugging and stuff.
"Did you guys come back to Omaha?" I ask and he nods
"We have a few days that are empty so I suggested we come down here. Apparently Johnson and Savannah are talking so." He says with a laugh and shrug. I smile at him. I'm glad we can just have a normal conversation now.
