Ella's POV —few hours later at the beach—
Jack and I are currently laying down on the towels. The sunrise should be happening soon. Yea I know. We've been here for a few hours. My mom and dad texted me twice each and I had to explain that I was fine and I was at the beach with Jack.
"Ella." Jack says and I look up at him. He motions to the sky and I look there. The sunrise is happening. I smile and lay back down facing it. It goes faster then what most people think especially if you watch it.

After about 30 minutes it's bright enough for me to stop watching. I grab my phone and look at the time.
"It's already 6:30." I say and he laughs
"We've been out here for a while." He says and I nod.
"We have. Has Johnson texted you?" I ask and he nods.
"Like eight times. Him and Savannah stayed the night together and then he went to your house to look for me but your car wasn't there so he went to my parents house and I wasn't there. So I finally told him I was at the beach with you." He says and I laugh
"He had a whole adventure." I say and Jack nods.
"I think I'm gonna go in the water." I say getting up and taking the big shirt off again. I turn around to Jack and he's biting his lip looking at me. So I decide to mimic him.
"Umm excuse me. My eyes are up here jesus." I say and he laughs and rolls his eyes
"Are you coming?" I ask and he nods. I grab his hand and pulls him up. Of course not by myself and he got up too but it did that so I could take off running.
"Ella!" He yells and I laugh and slow down as my feet hit the water. I turn around and Jack is slowly making his way to me. I stick my tongue out at him and he does it back.
"Bite me." I say and he raises his eyebrows
"Your into some kinky shit aren't you?" He asks and I laugh and shake my head. I splash him and he glares at me. He splashes me back and soon it's a full on splash war. Jack grabs my waist and I laugh as he stops me from splashing him.
"I thought we were just gonna dip our feet in not have a splash fight." He says looking down at me kinda. I'm a little shorter then him. Not a lot tho.
"It's was fate." I say and he laughs
"Really?" He asks and I nod.
"If you had the chance to change your fate, would you?" I say in my best Merida accent. He cracks up laughing
"No I wouldn't." He answers scanning my eyes
"Why not?" I ask in a normal voice.
"Cuz I wouldn't have been able to do this." He softly presses his lip to mine. It comes as a shock at first but I kiss back wrapping my arms around his neck. Are lips move in sync. They fit each other perfectly. Jack isn't my first kiss but it feels like it. It feels like a whole new beginning to my life. He pulls away and I smile.
"You know she did change her fate though right?" I ask. He nods.
"Hopefully that will change both our fates." He says and I laugh and push him away lightly
"Your cheesy." I say splashing him.
"Do start this again Ella." He says and I splash him again.
"Oh it's on." He says and I scream and start running along the shore. Eventually he picks me up and I'm laughing really hard. Once I settle down he set me down and I turn around and he smiles at me. I smile back.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks and I make a face
"That was out of nowhere." I say and he laughs.
"But yes I would love to be your girlfriend." I say and he smiles and hugs me and kisses me.
"We should head back to your house." He says and I nod. We start back towards our stuff but I get tired and hop on his back. I kiss his cheek and he laughs. It feels like there's a big weight lifted off my shoulders. I don't know what it was, but I'm relieved. For once in my life, I'm genuinely happy.
