The Roadtrip

Chapter 3

~the next morning~

I woke up in the bed in the master bedroom.

There are two master bedrooms.

I looked at the little digital clock beside my bed, 7:15.

Uggghhhhh.

Why do I wake up so early on my own sometimes?!! I don't know why, and it drives me crazy!!

But I got up and also got Hunter up and ready and out of the bed.

I took him to the living room to watch Bubble Guppies. But I made sure that I could still see him from the bathroom. I got my self a little bit ready too.

Ya know, the usual.

Brush my teeth, fix my hair ( in a messy bun/ponytail ), light foundation.

I then checked on Hunter real quick and then changed clothes. Into some

nike shorts, a big baggy T-shirt, and tennis shoes.

I walked back in the living room area and turned off the tv and got Hunter and my room key, Hunter's diaper bag, and my cell phone.

It was now 7:25.

We started to walk down to the elevator, and to my surprise, the guy I saw in the elevator yesterday was there too.

He saw me coming and smiled then winked at me.

I just smiled back.

"What floor?" He asked as we entered the elevator.

"Umm. Lobby please." I said.

He just kinda giggled and pressed it. He only pressed the one button, so he was going all the way down too.

"You gettin breakfast?" He asked me.

"Yeah. You?" I said.

"Yeah." He replied kinda awkwardly..

It was silent for about 20 seconds, then I heard him say something else to me.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"Elaine." I said.

"And is this your brother?" He said scrunching his face up looking at the baby Hunter making him giggle.

"Yeah. This is Hunter." I said.

"Would you like to eat with me on this lovely morning?" He asked sarcastically , but seriously.

"Sure, why not. I had gotten Hunters Diaper bag and changed him before we left. So I put some of his baby food in there too.

We got off the elevator and walked over to some seats. He said that he would get mine for me since I had Hunter.

I just nodded my head. He asked me what I wanted, but I just said that anything would be fine.

He came back about two or three minutes later with two plates in his hand.

The plates had some pancakes on them.

"What would you like to drink?" He asked me while setting the plates down.

"Oh, ummmm. Just water." I replied.

He looked at me kinda weird and laughed a little, then walked away to go get the drinks.

I got some of Hunter's food out of his bag. He has been cooperating al morning. I'm glad he has been. Who knows how stressed I would be if he was cranky all day..

Austin then came back with a water and milk glasses in his hands, he then set himself down.

''So. how long have you been here?" He asked.

'Since last night." I replied.

"Cool, he said. do you know how long your gonna be stayin here?" He asked.

I sat there in silence, in my own little world. Not thinking about everything around me. Just focused on Hunter.

He asked again.

"Oh, sorry. Umm... I well I kinda moved here." I said.

I looked at his facial expression after I said those words. he looked very surprised.

"Well that's good. I am living here too." He said.

I was actually kinda happy that he lived here. He is really cute!! I tried not to show that I was freaking out on the inside, and it actually worked.

I felt my phone buzz in the back of my pocket. I reached to get it and pulled out of my pocket up to where I could see the screen clearly.

It was a text from my Aunt Kate. She was my moms sister.

" Hey Elaine. how ya doin sweetie? I just wanted to check up on you and make sure that you got here safely. I'm guessing we will meet at your condo at 12:00. if you want to meet up somewhere else, we can, just tell me. I love ya Elaine. Hope you like Miami!! :) "

I just replied and said okay.

I finished my food, as so did Austin and Hunter.

"Hey, Elaine, what is your room number?" He asked.

"Room 2110. You?" I asked.

"Room 2111." He said while laughing.

I just nodded my head and stood up with, my plate in my hand. I started to walk towards the trashcan, but he took the plate from me and beat me to it.

So I decided to get Hunter out of the highchair and get his bag and stuff together.

I heard Austin comin up and I turned and smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Hey Elaine, can I have your phone number? In case you ever need anything, I can help you or show you around anywhere if ya want." He asked.

"Sure. And yeah, that would be great." I said politely. He gave me his phone and I put my number in.

"Okay then, thanks." He said.

"Are you going back up to your room?" I heard him ask me.

"Yeah, I have to go et ready. I have to meet my Aunt Kate at 12:00 and do some stuff with her so that she can tell me some stuff about this place and do some shopping and normal girly stuff. I haven't gotten to see her much, so I'm gonna spend some time with her today." I replied.

"Oh. Cool." He said.

I just nodded my head letting know that I am agreeing with him.

We were now in the elevator heading back up to the top. Once the elevator doors opened up. He let me go ahead and he followed behind me.

We both got to our rooms and opened our doors and walked in. I put Hunter in a play pin thingy with some toys to pay with. I went back to the bedroom ad unpacked our stuff. I looked at the clock and it was 8:15.

Crap!!

I must have been so caught up downstairs and forgot about the time!!

Crap!

Crap!

Crap!

Uggggghhhhh.

All the sudden, I heard my phone buzzing on the counter in the kitchen.

I ran to the kitchen to answer it.

"Hello, Elaine. This is Dr. Layton again. I have called to update you on your parents. Your father, he has gotten much better. So has your mother. They are still in here for observation and surgery. Your mother has a fractured arm and foot. Your father has a fractured hand too. They will go into surgery later today at 1:00 PM. Both of your parents will. But the good news is that we should be able to release them soon. We don't have a certain release date just yet. It will depend on how bad their fractures are. We will be able to tell you tomorrow afternoon. Your father has asked to see you soon. We told him that he couldn't see you unless you came out here or until he is released. The both of your parents have told me to tell you that they love you very much, as much as well as Hunter. They are hoping to see you soon. I hope you have a good day today, I will call you back later on tonight at 8:30. Thank you for your time, and we are hoping for the best with your parents." I then heard the line go dead.

Okay, so that was that.
